probably not worth trying to clear it out unless you have something like a fume hood that doesn't vent to the outside and can be cleaned without further risk

#

weaponsandstuff93 has suggested putting cotton filters in the threaded ends of the filter or mask to prevent anything coming through but there's still potential risk there

#

if you absolutely want the aesthetics of the filter then 3D printed ones are made by some people and the files are online too

#

if you just want a working filter something like an old Polish FP-5 should do and apparently MS-4 filters, while old don't have asbestos. Chinese industrial filters also apparently fit

Tape on mags has always been a thing to some degree done often, its to distinguish types of ammo from mag to mag its also popular because there was a big movie (at least in the U.S) that had a scene where guys were using mags with blue tape to scare them with blanks cant remember the movie off the top of my head tho

@analog dust @amber token interesting story, ran into a guy selling russian surplus gear, had some sunrise bits i bought, asked if he had anything else STALKER to let me know. He sends me pics of this mask and i almost turned pale cause i knew it was stupid rare. I bought it for 50 bucks Sure_I_am dude was a hero. he told me that a company in Russia was custom making STALKER PBF's at some point and thats how that one came to be. Even i couldn't tell you how they made it
