Tsepi (Chains) are the opposite of Renegades. Former bandits that became less hostile and try to make amends with other factions, as being outcasts is not their preferred way of living, especially when major threats like Monolith exist.

**Bryhada (Brigade) **- former Military that wanted to live the stalker life. No longer bound to their posts, they can do a lot more and often assist the Military in exchange for weapons, rigs and supplies from the mainland.

**Fury **- basically a gang of military-tacticool larpers from the EU/US western world (e.g. Lord Miles and Garand Thumb fans) that went to the zone for extra survival larp. They are great with guns and at gunfighting, but suck against mutants and anomalies. Also, they really suffer due to language barriers.

Kapkan (Beartrap) - solitary hunters that dont have any beef with other factions. They hunt mutants and make a lot of makeshift stuff to perfect their hunting art. For example - homebrew 12ga slugs made of dense artifacts to pierce pseudogiant skulls. Red Forest residents.

Syaivo (The Shining) - basically the church of Chornobyl. Not exactly fanatics, they simply believe that no place in the world should be without God's word. They're no pacifists at all, and in nightime they do heavy raids on Monolith. Reside in the Swamps, taking hold of the church.

Control Group - PMC formed of former Duty, Freedom and Merc members. Funded to protect the UN researchers. However, they do enjoy grabbing more than they have the right to.

Chorna Rada (The Black Congress, I guess?) - a unity of different factions that was formed to oppose Control's attempts to fully control the zone. They suppress their expansion, and believe that Control should just stay by their research facilities and not go any further.

Can recommend Smersh rigs. Its been the missing puzzle piece for me to make my stuff look Stalker-ish. Got myself a cheaper one from Aliexpress and its surprisingly decent, especially for the price.
Judging by the review of a seemingly more experienced Ukrainian frontline soldier, the original one made by SSO (more so for the ones made in recent years) is basically just that Aliexpress quality anyways.
Beware that you cant remove the mag pouches though, part of the webbing is attached to them.

A digital pattern may be a bit too modern for them? I think if you adjust your kit likewise to try and make a faithful but more modernised (and maybe a tad westernized?) it could fit.
Big issue with the monolith camo is that its pure fantasy and you got no real counterpart, so you kinda gotta make due. If you want to be more faithful however, I would try to find a non digital camo with black, brown and white tones. Theres a semi common form of snow camo in M81 woodland shape(?) around, that fits pretty well

I'd assume it was a way to reuse old surplus AKs to replace mosins in night ops

There isnt that much info about them online, so I'd assume they'd find their way into the Zone eventually as a military reject like the L85 did in the original trilogy

Material - Oxford (do not remenber the thickness). Chose it for the "leathery" looks (in the trilogy this chest looked like made out of leather) and to protect from rain and water.
Shoulers - velcro
Inside - thin layer of mat foam (for BB protection and thickness, but would be better with beefier foam)

Fun fact, from what I and my gf who is also making cosplays, saw, the psz5s are made from "Kirza" (idk how to name it in en), an rubberlike material that looks like leather, yet is much more resistant and not very skin-friendly

Only few suits have a reasonable amount of mag pouches close. One of the new warden outfits with the big armor plate has some for example

Cosplay is just about that! I can't imagine wearing most of the suits from stalker for a few hours, let alone a day. My own Sunrsie dubbed Moonrise is a mix od 270g/m² and 320g/m2 100% cotton with vest and front panel of suit made from waterproof cordura (idk the D wariant).

If I would use any more of original textiles, I would pass out in it during summer, or drown in my own sweat xD

My next suit will also use mostly cotton, the 270+ is resitant enough to go for an asg games without problems.

The shape doesnt fit, but the colours pretty close. Since the IPSF camo is made up and the IPSF is an international force, I dont see why you couldnt use wz.93, a camo not directly associated with any other faction. Its probably the one id recommend atm

Just make sure you end up looking like IPSF, not Polish military with a new patch

Military in the trilogy used Dubok and I would say that it's yellow version (Yellow Dubok) is close to the IPSF one

Its pretty close to Dubok. Closer than most of the military models, the shade of their camo is too off.
Though at least one common one uses a camo, thats pretty obviously also dubok, but scaled smaller

ISPF wouldnt be well represented by Dubok, as youd end up looking either like Freedom, or early 2000s Ukrainian army.
Dubok can be used for both of those factions, with different styling. But IPSF wouldnt be recognizable as such there imo

Decided on a freedomer LARP method due to being relatively easy to pull off:
Have an airsoft AK-74N for a stalker weapon (wish I could legally get my hands on a deactivated real AK)
The jacket and the backpack is dug up from parents' forest shed (stalker style cool factor)
Use an authentic ~2010s russian military issue 6Sh104 for cool factor due to being real gear
Hold all the correct 8 spare mags in those mag pouches
Have two 500 millilitre triton bottles on both sides' universal pouches for balance and water carrying ability
Backpack used to store cold weather layers to wear under the outside
Rusty bolts in the jacket pocket: one is from an abandoned schoolhouse and the other from an old factory area
Mechanix Wear M-Pact gloves (looking for replacement, don't like them much)
Left out the GP-5 mask because I sweat too much to wear it indoors (don't like it either)
Mask is a placeholder... haven't figured that part out yet
Nonetheless quite happy to LARP as this asbestos-lunged random cannon fodder typa guy!

Any opinions on hardshell vs "softshell" (made from fabric) holsters for achieving the stalker look?
I need to get a new one to fit on my leg and im torn. Hardshell is nicer due to being easier to reach and less risk of breaking.
Softshell feels more authentic for stalker kits though

As long as you don't have a pistol with a horribly light trigger or dangerous thing to shoot on its own fromhard knocks, you are fine with a softshell

these holsters hold more varied pistols, so having a model that doesnt fit is rarely a case, just keep the colour thematically correct

There is a mono vest under a cloak both you can see in game, but i did tweak them a little. Then i added archery gear on top: breast guard and an arm guard. The reason there are bandages on the left hand and the sleeve is torn is because if you have loose sleeves they can get caught in the bowstring when you fire.

But im happy you like it lol i just had no idea where did the legend of zelda come from

Come to think of it. Why the hell did i put a breast guard over a damm vest.
