I just went to Bauhaus (tool store), found decent sponge I can use
Cut out shapes
Sacrificed flecktarn field shirt and croatian special polive olive shirt
Put flecktarn on outside, olive on inside (sandwich the sponge) and run the sewing machine over a few times

Vest is the Croatian special police one, based on late 80s/early 90s Eagle Industries Tac V1N or Blackhawk Omega. Miltec makes replicas of those if you need to find one

Ingame, they do wear some slim body armor under the vest, but didn't get to finding one yet

In meantime, I did get my hands on Miltec large utility pouch, just need to add small belt and thigh strap to it and change buckle into black
On the pants, I added material to extend them and have large belt loops for webbing belts, so I can eventually run a soviet leather belt like ingame
Flecktarn parka has lower pockets, epauletted, flags and bottom portion removed, and is now tucked into pants when worn to simulate how the suit looks ingame (like a one piece)

I did consider using ALICE webbing instead of ingame soviet belts style, due to Freedom using nato equipment, but will see

Closest to ingame backpacks is the German Gebirgsjager (mountain troop) one, or Alice backpack even with only side pouches remaining

It ain't much but i managed to darken the lenses for my cosplay gas mask (fake one, obviously)

I'd avoid using sponges... I'm afraid it might degrade over time especially after wash and dry. Rather use some cut offs and roll it into tubes. More work but better slow and sure.

Yes, these are industrial style, but I only used them to keep the shape after stitching the lines on pads
They are plastic like material, but soft
They lost their pourpose when sewn up, but the padding looks the part like ingame
In the future, I may add some material between them and the actual suit so they work as they should, at least on the knees

i used quilted polycotton with fluff filler stiched to it on my original suit pads, that suit's been through the wash dozens of times and they've stayed intact and kept their shape

I think it's quite nice, granted I don't have anything to compare it to necessarily and I've only had it a month but I really like it, my Logitech G500 tracks smooth & it's got a nice rubber backing to stay in place. I think stylistically it looks better in person than I thought, has this brushstroke effect that makes it sorta look like it's a painting, I imagine that's just artistic effect applied to stills from the film but it really does look like it could be one. I feel like I wasn't totally clear on that when I bought it, but also scooped the bundle up pretty quickly was very excited for it lol.

cheers, yeah bias binding is pretty much necessary for them, easiest way to seal things too while protecting symmetry, the originals have lasted on the suit a good 3 years so far, only with little bits of filler material coming through the stitches after washes

If you’re observant enough, you can see that the plug is on the gas mask filter, which is entirely sealed eternally. The mask breaths through the removed diaphragm

Freedom patch bought from ebay left vs. freedom patch from physical edition

The ebay patch is used a bit. I must say I prefer the freedom patch with the national symbols, however I do admit that without them makes more sense. Patch quality is pretty good, however its a bit small. I think thats because these patches are more meant for sticking on backpacks instead of identification on for example sleeves.

Use the M-80 Israeli filter they don't contain asbestos, To be safe you can buy an original Israeli gas mask kit (But do your own research on the matter and maybe find another NATO based filter just so you can be 100% sure) I added a photo of my own filter that came with the Israeli civilian kit, I do have one filter sealed and one that I used

I just personally love the idea of visiting the Zone from an outsider perspective. As Stalkers ourselves, it's easy to know the dangers and navigate them with ease, but to the naive and untrained, its the shattering of your reality. But perhaps the Zone isn't as merciless as one would think. Perhaps to the thieves, mercenaries, killers, and graverobbers that reside within it, but to these four boys, full of innocence and curiosity, they will hurt, they will suffer, but the Zone will provide, it will protect them and harden them. Teach them its rules harshly but not fatally.

BMP-2s are sadly non existent in the market. I only ever saw 1 and that was back in the early 2010s. I also wanted this turret so I could actually shoot it (unfortunately that won’t happen due to me selling the gun)

Nope theyve reworked the insignia. You can see it use the Ukrainian spelling of "Моноліт" instead of the Russian "Монолит" for example. They also removed the Ukrainian national insignia from freedom and changed Duty to "долг" instead of "доля"

Idk about the ones from the collectors edition, but if the patches aren't iron on, you'd either have to sew on the backing or use fabric glue, etc. Unless if you're using your own, most of them have adhesives on the back.

Loop, if you're talking about the soft part where you stick velcro on so it stays. Hence the name 'hook and loop' patch.

I think you can just buy the hook and loop velcro and diy, carefully use fabric glue. I don't know if they sell ones that are wide enough for the patches where you can cut to fit yourself. Haven't looked into that.

I have those velcro strips that I use for mine, but need to use 3 cut strips to cover my patch. Works fine, just a little annoying to cut that many.

This is post the SoC events and the Monolith are no longer controlled by the monolith. The stylized atom before symbolizes them being caged, while now they clearly are not caged by the brainwashing of the monolith anymore. Sounds like a plausible idea for the intention too?
