Theres a theory that mercenaries are hired by people associated with the C-Consciousness and it makes a lot of sense - they could want to recover some lost parts of their past research, or simply cover their tracks so that the government wouldn't find out who they were and what they were doing.

We know that mercs tried to steal data from the scientists who "dug something up" during SoC events, and generally became active around the time when the SBU launched the "TRUTH" project, which aimed to uncover the secrets of the Zone - and that doesn't seem to be a coincidence

no its not. its referencing source images that are a majority of stock and licensed art, and then combining aspects that the prompt details to piece together the image. ai art isn't stealing, but i agree that it doesn't make you an artist because you didn't make it.

Artstation had an issue with people having their art stolen, so much so that when people spammed that no a.i. image on all their channels it was starting to leak into prompts people where typing
