I believe the moderzation of stalker cosplay can go so well an still fit in the Sdalger Universe, specially people that actually wanna cosplay the fandom since the cosplay community of stalker is EXTREMLY Small, Greyshop stoped selling sunrises in 2018 whomever has em has em, or even just never continued to post of em, you have the amazing starian cosplays that shows off where he obtains his Sunrise stalker suit but VK doesnt ship to the US and not many people can make a authentic anorak stalker or sunrise (a highly saught out suit)

but ofc to modernized kills the apocoliptic vibe of the zone, use of leather, old alice gear fits extremly wonderous to the zone

sure,you cant get a sunrise suit,but there are still many ways to emulate the look of the models with modern equipment without straying too far,not hard actually
if you search youll start realising that most of the stuff that the models use can be aqquired with a bit of finnesse,the harder part,is the vest,the sunrise suit vest needs to be custom made as a torso only part but it also isnt hard to make if you plan a bit,the hardest cosplays would be SEVA,the military armoured suit and the Exosqueleton due to details on it's models

I thought about it a little bit more and honestly,I think it would look closer without much compromises if it had a bulkier mag carrier chest rig,the vest is already fine (actually a good thought)

like so maybe making the straps wider and still showing the vest underneath would be a great way of linking it back while still giving it functionality to use in airsoft for example and using modern mil surp equip

Same here, I went out with my niece just to watch over him. We had matching cosplay gear because he borrowed my leftover parts and made a decent costume. Eventually it started snowing, so the ponchos really held up compared to everyone else out there. Same story with how cold it was.

I’m not sure what your budget is, but for a decent LPVO in place of the Vortex you could check out the Victoptics S6

As for the handguard/foregrip situation, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a pic rail adapter for XM177-style handguards. Maybe you could 3d print something, otherwise the only thing I can think of is the classic “chopped A1 grip” maneuver

Stock is subjective unless you’re actually going to play airsoft and plan on actually having to shoulder the rifle; personally I’m not a fan of the hera stuff, but if it’s what you want to do then that’s up to you. I have two AKs and neither of them have an adjusting stock and I can still shoulder them and get a solid cheek weld just fine

I was testing out one of my new gear and didn’t really like it, it was meant to be a under the shoulder ammo bag but i put my artifact holder in it and it was to bulky so I put it on my hip and tied it down with some belts I had and it looks a lot better now

I think when it comes to cosplaying as certain factions like bandits, loners ect you don’t need to look exact to the games cause those factions aren’t really organized so they are wearing and using anything they can get their hands on anything that’ll protect them

I’m actually thinking about buying myself a Makarov repro from Denix when I get my next pay

Same the AK is airsoft and I got a CO-2 airsoft makarov but sadly the holster is a bit to small for my airsoft so I will have to find a new holster for it

And it ain’t that expensive, cause Eastern block surplus is actually cheap as hell
