Sir, I don't believe an argument on canonicity can be solved with the uniform's from the game. If we were to follow the player models we wouldn't have women doing cosplay of STALKER and the loners wouldn't match much of the official art put out for the game. Further, I believe the reason the models are the way they are is simply because GSC lacked the resources to do more at the time.

I believe many mods which update the graphics offer very good representations of what the various factions could look like, and given the nature of the game's story and setting you can use a very wide array of items.

I also personally think you've done an excellent job at portraying one of them.
