Glad GSC moved the release date by a year, not an easy decision but hopefully this means more time to polish and balance things. Honestly looking forward to how gsc steps up their game in the story department, the previous entries had great stories but most of the plot was relayed through cutscenes and text, something that would be the next logical step for story telling purposes would be awesome.
For how big the game is supposedly, more time can only mean more well thought out developer decisions unlike dying light 2, surface level it was a great game but you start to feel a prick in the back of your neck that starts to grow and grow until you can no longer ignore it. The prick in question comes from design choices that are just… off, like the way they handle upgrading, loot, and map content, before you catch what they’re doing it seems all fine and dandy but then it loses that ability to entertain you like 2 hours in and you force yourself to trudge through the terrible story and game play loop in hopes that it picks up, but no that’s just it.

I'm not gonna sit here and act like I know exactly what's going on over in Ukraine; much less with GSC in particular. But I do know this: game development is complicated. I'm willing to bet that 3 months out of development (especially depending on how far along the game is and at what point it stops at) can push a schedule back a LOT.
I'm sure they have damn good reason to be stalling that much time. Personally, I'm willing to bet they would've gone for an earlier release date, but wanted extra time to make sure things were polished before output. We still don't entirely know how detailed, in-depth and layered the game is at this point.
Just be patient and keep an ear out, my dude. All we can do. If there's anything us STALKERS are good at, it's biding time and being patient.
Also, I really didn't mean to come off as a dick before. Just tired of seeing the same, already-answered question over and over again.

The intended release date before the war was December, so even if the progress of the game was linear the game would still be delayed to next year.
But game development from what I’ve heard is not linear, so that means they might need even more time than 3 months.

It's pretty great, especially if you're already a fan of the franchise. Although I'm biased because I already was a fan and played the first two games before coming to 3. Loved 'em both. Playing through the main quest still, but from what I have played so far it's been a really rewarding experience.

The game still needs to be completed and fixed, you can see that in the dev diary they are still making the animations, plus, with the war going on they aren't that much safe, especially some employees which joined in the defence of their country and some who are trapped in Russian territory, such as Donbass and Mariupol
