Molotovs in stalker are not unreasonable at all lol

Great way to burn the ground from an oncoming hoard of dogs and scare them off or block a route so you can flee elsewhere

This is 64km open world. No more cheesing level transitions either. A mechanic like molotovs could add to the game in a noticeable way, especially if the engine is sporting slick fire effects

Molotovs would be easier to procure and fashion over finding frag grenades everywhere

Leave the flames to burn and enemies can't pass making for some interesting environment interactions with potent A.I

I always hated the sluggishness of games like ARMA that pretend to shoot for ultra realism with advanced weapon ballistics and handling but then make the player handle like he has his pants full of 💩 even without a ton of gear. Real life is much more balanced than that. Stalker encapsulates this perfectly with the first bandit camp. If you rush in, you die. If you camp, you won't hit anything most of the time, less chance of death with good cover, but pushing and pulling is what makes stalker bang so damn hard. It's actually tactical

It forces you to learn the game by giving you the PMM. It immediately separates the player from weak FPS tropes.

I don't understand why people think this amazingly well crafted experience should adopt some snail pace mechanics from games like tarkov. Play tarkov if you want tarkov
