I admit it easily. Frequently, when somebody writes a question to a CM, people can forget that there are more than one of them, a lot more than one. And they don't have one common Hivemind. - Do you have the materials, desdocs or technical documentation of those years related to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 of 2011, which are still actual during the development of the current S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2. And you make sure that those materials won't be leaked into the internet.
- The old materials aren't relevant enough to be used during the development of the updated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The game has been developed from scratch. The game we show. The game we develop. The desdocks, 3D models, materials were made from scratch. According to that, there's no great desire to save those S2 build materials from leaks. I absolutely don't exclude the fact that they might be somewhere saved in one place in the company. But I'm quite not sure. They are really irrelevant in the context of S2 we have been developing, because it's made from scratch. Those materials aren't used.

However, the maps themselves are very densely packed compared to the previous two games.

I absolutely despised the progression curve in Anomaly. I genuinely tried to like the mod, but the early game made me quit.
You can't even do the main quest until you grind the repetitive, boring side quests or do other grindy tasks until you get sufficient gear. The progression curve is not even a curve, because it escalates into sending you to Radar after just a few missions.
Even SoC got it right, and boy is that game jank city ||(still love it, though)||. You don't have to do the side quests if you don't want to.
It's like a game of sandbox, except you have to spend hours in order to get the ability to build one sandcastle.
I'm not going to crap on anyone's parade for liking Anomaly, but I personally gave up.

I never got past the hobo stage because there was nothing worthwhile to do. Exploration is actively punished because there's zero valuable loot bundled a risk of anomalies, good artefacts are practically non-existent at the early stages, and every side quest is absolutely devoid of any soul or substance.

Another garbage quest is the one that you get by talking to the faction leader for the first time (the "how to I get rich" option). Not only does it send you to the ass-end of the Zone most of the time, but the quest itself is along the lines of "bring us 14 tuna cans, and only tuna, because screw other food supplies."
It's baffling how bad it is.
I think there's an even worse variation where you have to fetch the exact guns the quest calls for. Not guns of the same caliber, but just specific ones. In a mod that is bloated to all hell with guns.
Considering this is one of the first things a new player will come across, this is just yikes.
I get that it's not a full-time project with proper funding, but come on.

Also to add just FIY the anomalies in SoC are pretty easy to see, but once you start playing CS and CoP they're noticably harder to see at times. Also if you start playing Anomaly, due to the lack of an anomaly detector warning (if you don't activate it) anomalies in that mod are MUCH harder to see in some areas, however i HIGHLY recommend you play the original trilogy before diving into that game
