I started to replay Stalker about 3 years ago and didn't have a single crash in SoC or CoP. In CS I had several crashes on Swamps because scripts went nut.
I didn't have a single bugged quest in SoC. You can't just hardlock the game unless you do it on purpose.
The mods like SRP have tons of crashes. I tried to play it - crash when I decided to take the Church on Swamps, crash when I walked, crash when I unloaded the gun. You also can't complete it because there is a crash after you leave Limansk. Brilliant.

I think it's because we have faster CPUs. Some script engine in games, like skyrim, have several timeout variables. Maybe if a script is not executed in time, it is killed or restarted by script system, which might be a problem that leads to an undefined behaviour. With faster processors, scripts are executed in time and never hit timeouts

I'm sorta new to stalker, recently started playing clear sky and immediately wanted to join the bandits cause theyre stupid but now I feel like that was a grave mistake. They are so incredibly week and slow that it's impossible to win a single fight without you carrying it, everytime you capture a post it gets instantly recaptured and I'm crying. Is this always the case for bandits, are you really never suppose to join them?

Imho it's better not to join any factions at all (except Clear Sky because you are basically forced to join and participate in war against Renegades). But other than that better to remain as a merc and don't even bother with all that faction war hussle

Your mistaken. Nobody is saying the older trailers represent gameplay. They aren’t even marketed as gameplay trailers. If you don’t think Cordon from trailer 1 is in the game. Then that’s just a wrong and bad take
