The base game is very stable, even in very high graphic settings. Just make sure you have installed the updates and tweaks too (if you don’t, hunting for artifacts is impossible and will inevitably result in a crash). As for installing a load of addons, I think they’ll not conflict unless you install a LOT (which I’ve never done so idk about that).

Also my advice is do not even attempt playing anomaly unless you have at least played the first game (shadow of chernobyl), playing the third one too or all three is even better, but that will simply teach you to appreciate the game and familiarize yourself with the mechanics and the lore alike. All that assuming you haven’t already played the originals lol.

If you REALLY can’t take the game in vanilla I suggest the Autumn Aurora 2.1 mod, it fixes stuff, makes the gameplay MUCH more pleasant, adds guns, better graphics and you can repair stuff. However few rare bugs still appear and they also do in anomaly.

Because if so it's because the character (you) does have a faction relation by himself too, so if you were in bad relationship with Mercs it is possible when switching to a faction that your reputation among Mercs will still be kinda negative, that translating to some people being hostile towards you, best way to fix that is to accept quests from their traders

I don't use BaS since i don't enjoy EFT weapons being on STALKER, especially considering the actual statements of BSG.

I am more like of a CoC player with vanilla weapons or using AO

However as a EFT player i do suggest you sticking with the SVD, but you may need a shotgun too loaded with flechette if you don't have money or AP-20, if you cannot get those then shoot at the legs or get an AR

Since you're going to do a lot of CQC inside the brain scorcher
