I like it. It shows that the Zone is still alive despite being a very dangerous place. My main issue with mods like Misery is that they're obsessed with making the place all dead and brown and ugly. It makes way more sense, even in the context of a dangerous, anomalous area, that some parts of the Zone still flourish.

I read something in the articles that kinda has me confused. Why would eat the radioactive deer in the ZOne. Eating radioactive foods is deadly. I know S.T.A.L.K.E.R. isn't a OMG SO REALLL!!!!! series but sthere enough scientific explaination that it feels believeable. Characters in all the games say that eating the animals of the zone is a terrible idea it makes you sick etc etc. So why is there a option to hunt and eat the Deers, is it a last resort thing? Do we have to put the meat in a machien that makes the 99.9% cancerous meat safe to eat?

Yeah, but the Zone is expanding, theoretically it can take over the world eventually. DOOM demons aren't really immune to conventional weaponry either, the Doom Guy uses regular weapons (for the most part)

I always saw it as any weapon Doomguy uses is "blessed" by his presence. That's why no one else even stands a chance against so much as an imp where as Doomguy can use a double barrel shotgun against Satan himself.
