You need to get in the good side for either duty or freedom, doin side quest and favorin one will give you enough reputation for them to trust u and with that take strider and his crew in

to get the the monolith to join duty/freedom, iirc you get a pda from a guy who drops from the cooling tower. Youll need the best anomaly detector to do it, hand that in to either freedom or duty and that might be the final mission to let mono join

Ironically I find it to be the best. Don’t play in easy, it just makes you and enemies bullet sponges. The game is designed around Master. You die fast. So do they. The trick is to play like it’s real life, always taking cover, use Q and E to lean out to take fire.

I'll go ahead and share my sad Stalker story

From the moment I first opened my PDA and looked at the list of high ranking Stalkers, I made it a goal to find these Stalkers and determine how they ranked above the rest. The title of #1 was given to a Loner named Gosha Tourist. Throughout my time in the Zone, I met many, some friend and some foe. It wasn't until Pripyat that I had met Gosha, there I discovered he and a group of Loner veterans would be the ones aiding me in reaching the Chernobyl NPP. We fought our way through Pripyat, and when it came to part ways, I noticed that Gosha and the rest of the veterans in our group had all been marked as Friend on the PDA. After I unmasked the secrets of the Chernobyl NPP and the Zone, I ventured back to Pripyat, curious to see the status of the group I had fought so vigilantly with. Upon my return, I found Pripyat barren, with no Stalker to be found. I assumed they had left to return to Rostok, or the Warehouse, maybe even to the Garbage. As I turned back, I came across an anomaly field, where I was hit with the cold truth, as shortly after my departure, dear Gosha and the rest of the team had fallen victim to the unforgiving traps of the Zone, leaving me ranked #1 Stalker

ive got like 20 hours in CS yet still havent beat it lol

For me personally SoC was way boring

Never even played the three actual games, started off with Call of Chernobyl, moved to Anomaly and never come off it lol

the faction war stuff is cool and the big map but the quests are repetitive

they all feel the same to me

As bugged as CS was it has a very special place in my heart. Was my first Stalker game afterall

But gotta admit that I always hated it's beginning too

First you are forced to participate in a buggy faction wars and then try to pass Vova Vist at Cordon

No wonder why so many players ragequited

Now these things are easy for me

But at the very first playthrought it was an absolute hell

CS was just very elaborate trolling

It was kinda rushed tho

i cleared all of the swamps for Clear Sky just so i wouldnt have to deal with that machine gun, i couldnt figure out how to run past it

Honestly felt like devs could made something better and bigger out of CS

But unluckiness was following the game even from the start

a fun part of CS is killing that psy-dog for Freedom

i didnt realize it was a psy-dog until yesterday when i read the wiki on pseudo dogs

Yeah

Has other enjoyable stuff too

Lowkey enjoyed doing some side quests (especially sidequests at Army Warehouses)

never got past the scientists bunker

My favorite moment from CS was raiding the freedom base with duty but my game was bugged and the freedom base music didn't stop playing

CS is also harderst part out of all games imho

SoC and especially CoP seemed wayy too easy

CoP feels like a cakewalk with an Exo

i had enough cash to buy an Exo before even leaving Zaton my 2nd playthrough

managed to find a Veles detector on a dead body super early

CoP is very easy even without an Exo tbh

Only hard parts there is to keep all your teammates alive

Or majority at least (both at Jupiter Undergrounds and at evac mission)

i hate the undergrounds in all games

especially the Pripyat Underground in CoP because I was dumb and brought the starter gun and pistol with me

Oooof

i only switched my guns when i started X8

so like i got new guns at the end of the game XD

I'm having anxiety every time I'm at undergrounds even after having decent equipement and resources

Can't imagine being with a pistol lol

dude Zulu and Strider got smoked cause of that one sniper

took me like 100 rounds to kill them with the starter rifle

and the pistol too XD

I like the underground levels except the jupiter underground and x8 in cop

Eliminator shotgun and Strelok's SGI will be a very good use

X8 isnt hard its just terrifying

I got so mad trying to get through jupiter underground that i loaded an old save and got mgs for all my teammates

Legit only shotgun I loved and was actually using in all 3 games

during the last mission I was sniping snorks with the eliminator

Other shotguns were meh, honestly didn't liked them too much

Eliminator is insanely OP

sad i didnt buy it earlier

instead upgraded my crappy pistol

In CoP you don't even need to use pistols imo

i used that one gun that uses 5.45x38 or 39 that has a built in supressor

Even at Zaton you can get pretty cool guns
