2 artifacts that can be combined and used as a grenade, but like a supercriticality incident grenade? if the game has heavier focus on radiation, 2 said artifacts are combined and thrown as a grenade, any enemy within line of sight gets an insane doseage of radiation and dies within a minute or two? not sure the strategic use for it and im sure it has plenty of flaws but just an idea thats been clawing at my brain for a while. i feel like radiation was underutilized in the original games besides being an area deterrent

im almost positive something like radioactive dust that can be picked up by wind and such will already be in the game, which would also be interesting and give more use for gas masks. some days you could go out without a gas mask, other days would be needed if dust is being stirred up? not in big events like sandstorms in some games but more like just environmental things

The original website mentioned the multiplayer as part of the release. It wasn’t a dramatic shift, but you could extrapolate what the intention was. I’m referring to the updated website around June 13th. We got our first multiplayer marketing then with announced game editions. Anybody would assume that’s a launch feature. It wasn’t until the multiplayer description was updated on the sites revamp shortly after (within a month?) that the materials explicitly stated post launch

Make sure your Directplay is installed. Stalker asks about it on a first start of the game to make sure you have it. I’m not sure what issues would present itself if you didn’t have it, I’d assume the video scene playback only, but I could be wrong. Never hurts to double check everything

And run the game as administrator for giggles to make sure it’s not a funky permissions thing. When I first streamed stalker I had to run it as admin to get rid of choppy game capture

there's so much unsaid stuff that I have to do in Stalker games. It's not intuitive at all, I've been playing the game for a year and a half and I still feel clunky when playing the game overall

My playing style is basically bashing my head against a wall until the wall moves

The game, like older RPGs requires you to pay attention to what's being said, if you're having difficulty finding your objectives or wondering what to do. You can always check your PDA log in case you cannot remember too.

Getting the bad ending isn't "bad" as such. The "Good" endings are purposely concealed from the player and require a bit of digging on purpose, with you needing extra steps to achieve them.

Reaching the Wishgranter is the usual path most first time play throughs end up reaching and you should be content at getting that far. One of my favourite endings is Wishgranter based, when you remake the Zone, but can no longer see it.
