Maybe but I don't really think so, as we don't really understand them. We know understand the conditions they are created from and what they do but we don't know the how they work. Many things in the zone break physics laws.

Women just don't fit the dangers that The Zone opposes; they'll need training in almost everything whereas men can get into most things easily with minimum training to do things and survive in different scenarios. Let's say it like this. Males are the offensive role whereas Females are the supportive role, if we're to talk lore fittings.
If anything, women are okay to have in camps, but at the forefront? Nope.

Do you think there were any women on the beaches of Normandy or in the jungles of Vietnam? Even nowadays women are in the US military but they’re not allowed to serve in combat roles. The Zone is a war zone. This shouldn’t surprise anyone.
I also just looked this up but it wasn’t even until 2018 when women were allowed in Ukraine’s military.
