Well, most Stalker maps aren't really that big. even the larger ones like Darkscape, Dark Valley, and the Swamps are rather claustrophobic due to the presence of anomalies and radiation pockets. I personally don't want vehicles to be a frequent, vital element of the game that you can't do without.

The second one has no cinematic what so ever, and the emission always hits, however in the bad one it wipes the Zone and makes it inhabitable

So to remain canon as a prequel it has the only one true ending, the second one is more like, game over, you failed to do the task
