Like, I get they must have special compartments designed to gather the energies they emit and concentrate them into the body, thus why we also take radiation in through their use; but like..... are they held closer to the body than the exterior of a suit? Are there special outer seals you have to unlatch when swapping artifacts out? Given how cool some of them look, are there ever slots made that let them be visible? Would you have to bend and manipulate certain ones to connect proper, for example: Mamas Beads?
