right, so they said S2 two will take roughly a 100 hours to explore the zones secrets, so I'm guessing a 100 hours to 100% the game, let's say the main story is 30 hours, okay now let's say the quest that is 'DLC' is 1 hour long, that's 1% of the game's playtime locked behind a preorder, I'm not saying that is a catastrophe, I'm saying that if S2 does well financially, and I hope it does, another company will see that and they will employ similar preorder tactics, due to S2 setting or rather adding to the precedent of locking content behind a 'DLC', so this hypothetical game studio now locks 5% behind a preorder package, imagine they do even better financially, in a couple cycles 50% of gamecontent in games could be locked behind a 'DLC package', okay that is an ad absurdum example, but these 'sneaky' moneymaking strategies definitely have an impact on the game industry, be it making games shorter, microtransactions, glorified DLCs instead of actual expansions etc etc
with a kickstarter(or atleast a note from GSC that they are still looking to expland their budget) the tone is completely different and they could've done stretch goals instead of locking down content, however small and insignificant
if they are however set and ready as far as their budget, I really don't see the reason to do what they did, again, however insignificant it may seem since it's theoretically only one percent of the game

Yeah I like STALKER on master with the build weapon ballance. which makes every gun about 2-3 times stronger, making gameplay bit more tactical, kinda like METRO on ranger hardcore. That is the gold spot for me. rewarded for using your brain. You rambo around you die.

No NPCs basically have their resistances set mostly, only player resistances lowers and lowers with the difficulty scale and as you reach MASTER you and human NPCs have basically 1:1 resistances, human. of course that depends on what player(actor) and NPCs are wearing. But this is why stalker on Master is hard but fair (till you get to NPP where game forgets that enemies didnt know about you before you died and how you load your game with G34 in your nostrail and die instnatly) xD

See I was always under the assumption that both yours and enemy resistances scale, so on the easiest difficulty you're a tank and so is the enemy

I think also spawns of AI is different with difficulty. Alife creates zones where mutants spawn, and there is always several categoires of mutants, weak, regular, alpha - if I remember correctly and probablities of weak vs alpha change depending on difficulty

Similar might be the case with STALKERS/bandits/mercs etc. the groups they spawn after set time and their "rank" (same names as difficulties). I think when you are playing on novice you should fight more novices and way less veteran and masters. but Im not sure about that, I did come across the files that had the difficulty differentiated like that.
