A lot of the side-quests you do affect the ending. There isn't a final/canon one until Stalker 2 comes out, but there's technically a lot of endings

A lot of CS features were often mislabeled as bugs just because the community does not approve of them. One example is your faction leaving the enemy base in CS after the end of the faction war, making it start all over again. It is an intentional game design decision which is "fixed" in SRP..

Every single bugfixing project so far also has its author adding something that is not bugfixes. Eg. SRP has the Clear Sky scout getting electrified in Limansk instead of barely observing the water and coming back. Wolf tells you the location of some 9x18 ammo boxes, something not in vanilla

But in the end install mods at your own discretion

I would think a game company like GSC is more authentic in its presentation of what their game is about. It’s a smaller (but not tiny) game company, so hopefully that counts for character.

I just want it to have a compelling narrative no matter what you do, with the atmosphere to go along with it. That’s what made me interested in the first three games.

I absolutely hate survival horror (if you can call Stalker a horror series at some parts), but it’s done so well and authentically that I was intrigued. Definitely don’t regret giving them a go.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is Survival Horror but more focused on the survival parts, I get scared from the encounters with Bloodsuckers and Chimeras because of that that they pose a serious threat. In Survival horror games like Resident Evil you can usually blast your way though the entire map but the last time I played Call of Pripyat I almost ran out of ammo in Jupiter Underground and had to finish it with my awful, unupgraded Honorary Makarov.

I like how easily you can kill the psy enemies like the Burer and Controller its only takes a burst form a AK to take down a Controller on Hard but the TTK is very inconsistent especially agianst Psysuckers and Cats

The only issue I have with anomaly mutant design is cats making me use 2 medkit charges and at least 2 bandages unless I'm wearing stuff resistant against rupture

For cats you should ideally spot them at a distance and use a shotgun

Mutants clipping on eachother may lead to them getting slingshotted and getting yourself killed

So try to avoid clusters

Its making me have ot relearn everything i have been playing since I was a teeanger

The proudest moment I ever had in Anomaly is when I killed a psysucker in the Agroprom Underground in pitch black darkness without any night vision

Type 'help' and it'll give you a full list. Some are self-explanatory, others aren't. I don't know of any complete list of them, but you could always just note down any that you're curious about & google them.
There aren't actually many cheat commands, the vast majority are for running multiplayer servers or tweaking the lighting engine.

It’s definitely got its evidence to back it up, so assuming Scar was indoctrinated into becoming a member of the Monolith, I just hope that he’ll survive to maybe get back on the good guys’ side. It would also be interesting to see where Strider and his gang fit in to that area.

Again, there’s so much that Stalker 2 can answer if it decides to touch upon all that previous content. That’s what quite cool about the first three games: they’ve got questions and certain attributes that can always get better explanations as time goes on.
