There's three good soups out there:
DMX DKZ which is an older soup and super hars
Op-2.1 which is just extremely massive
NS2016 is the newest soup available, but it is the base model, i.e. the platform on which the soup mods are expanded upon
There's NS2020 as well but I don't know how development is going on

SOC & CS have been mentioned, I always liked the truce in Yanov during COP. The collective agreement that they (Duty & Freedom) don't like each other, but dying in an Emission is a fate no-one deserves.

Clear Sky is my least favourite out of the three, sure, but it's definitely still a good game. It's kind of a meme to hate on it but, honestly, it doesn't deserve the vast majority of the hate it gets. It's also secretly the best one if you wanna get really into the lore & the universe.

Yeah I'd go back to COP, it's definitely the most refined of the three base games. Best gameplay, great characters, arguably the best map layout. It's a blast! 👍
