You can side with duty or freedom if you choose to do so, keep in mind that the other faction may become hostile to the player. It is up to you

in SoC the faction war mechanics doesn't exist at all so there's no use siding with a faction, imho

Depends on the mod. Ones that twiddle with scripts and the like are probably fine, but anything that changes models, textures, animations, sounds, etc won't work - The engine pre-loads assets when a new game is started so in-progress games won't use any of the new stuff. 👍

I have been playing stalker for a while and my advice is dont play anomaly as a starter for the stalker series,anomaly isnt a stalker game its wattered down tarkov for mil larpers with a stalker themed badly put on top of it,it will most likely give you the wrong idea of what stalker is this has happened so many times before,take it from us,go play Shadow of Chernobyl
