In general, Grigorovich wasn't fully against piracy. He understood that not everybody could buy a legal copy of the game and piracy could be the only way to try it. He also knew that if the player likes the game - he will buy it legally later.

well uh... he found out again that fang died i think. ghost was still alive for some time in SoC (just a theory tho) and possibly died while Strelok was in Agroprom... as for Streloks second travel to the NPP the german wiki states he swore revenge on Scar for him killing Fang (Ghost and Fang went to the NPP without Strelok and got Ambushed at Army Warehouses while he was recovering from the first travel) so my theory here is that he maybe wanted to get to the wishgranter... although thats kinda a stupid wish imo (just remembered that Scar literally was behind Strelok chasing him in Red Forest so he could've just try and kill him there but oh well)
