My friend described anomaly as just "zone simulator" and I think that's pretty accurate
In my playthrough I just completely ignored the story line, hired guides to get me up to yanov from the cordon, and just struck it rich getting artifacts
My only real problem is that anomaly can be a bit buggy sometimes, but hell, it's been a lot less buggy than the vanilla games.
