A switch emulator like ryujinx(I know it's shut down but there's forks out there) should be able to create a switch 2 emulator very quickly as the ground work is there. The switch 2 is backwards compatible with switch 1 games so the architecture probably isn't that dissimilar from the original switch.

All that to say an emulator will probably pop up a couple months after release

I think GSC are doing the best they can given their war zone circumstances. They're responding to everyone's feedback pretty rapid, they're pumping out substantial patches regularly, even in the pre-release review period they were patching Stalker 2 like hell as fast as they could. Nobody ever defined what A-Life even is (neither in the OG, nor in Stalker 2).
The only description of "A-Life 2.0" (do not confused with the original A-Life which isn't defined either, but is entirely different thing) in promotional materials was "non-scripted random encounters/events" and "factions fighting with each other".
And both of these points actually present in the game -they just feel extremely clunky, non-transparent and clearly doesn't create the effect devs were hoping for.

It is nonetheless well understood what A-Life means. As per the original vision, it was supposed to simulate NPCs to such a degree that they would be able to finish the game on their own. That didn’t happen, but whatever features that pertain to such a system are what A-Life is: NPC persistence, NPC independence and mobility etc.

Sometimes even a "bad experience" is a part of original experience because some of the encounters might've been designed around that bad combat and maybe the nuance of these encounters will be lost with an improved combat. For example, tank controls from Resident Evil 2 (original one) made zombie encounters much more intense because of clunky controls, even if you can say that the controls in Resident Evil 2 Remake are objectively better, smoother, realistic, quicker, etc

Basically, just don't consider it a replacement even if you have an argument for why is it better, simple as

In my opinion it was the inabillity of rest of the game industry to fill the hole stalker left in the market, where only more modern versions were heavily modified OG stalker games and rest was just games "inspired" Like escape from tarkov or dayz or chernobylite and many more along with tons of shovelware and assetflips. That led the CEO to a realisation one day that there is now giant hungry audience and STALKER is a potencial goldmine all they need is to push something STALKERY out under the IP name and voila - moneyprinter xD

It has good side quests though and a decently balanced equipment system

You can use almost every weapon even during the end game, because all equipment has their own playstyle
