There're times and places for everything
If you want money, do the side mission where they tell you to kill bandits or pick up something , because most of the time, you get yellow guns or some loots from that same stash.
While on main missions, focus more on pickup ammos,full durability/unique gears.
If you want to be cautious, keep a 2nd set of armor to switch with the one you're currently wearing to share the damage they took, lower repaid cost.
Of course you won't know all these unless you went through the game at least once.

People were just comparing S2 to what’s popular regarding stalker.

Some people will still go with arguments like « I prefer STALKER 2 because graphics and story » and others will go « I prefer GAMMA progression and survival systems ». But it’s just a matter of taste, people fighting over this should start discussing their favorite color and do red vs blue discussion groups and discord servers

Lol. You don't need complex gun repair systems (although GAMMA system is really easy but whatever). Something as simple as meaningful different meds, some light crafting systems related loot (think Resident Evil herbs and ammo making), some gun / armor repair items (like +5% armor or gun condition), some weapon upgrades (not sights or new mags, just a thing allowing you to add one upgrade of your choice among the gun upgrade tree).

I think it depends. If you have game pass just play it in segments (game can fatigue you quickly). Keep plenty of saves around important quest line decisions in case any major changes are implemented later.
