Combat gets triggered again as they are STILL following me and always know exactly where I'm hiding.
A number of Freedom members get caught in the crossfire, taking rounds from the Mercs but do absolutely nothing in response.
This all happens in the middle of the Rostok base and everything is on lockdown. Its impossible to outrun the mercs, they always know where I am and always catch up to me

being an unkown meat bag surrounded by everything hostile. needing to risk it all for more ammo and food. factions around the zone brutalizing each other. you chosing that fight to get ten steps forward that could change how a group of blood crazed soldiers see you. repairing your gear and medding up at a fireplace and lighting that smoke knowing it all starts again after the immersion. checking the state of your weapon and the bullets in your mag. Honstly that felt more stalker. Anomaly felt like the next gen experience I honstly thought stalker two would look at this group of modders that kept the game alive and build on that.

Idk, personally, I like gamma. It's the kinda survival config I like, but I understand that that's not the traditional stalker experience, and it's unfair to expect Stalker 2 to be like it. I haven't really played much of stalker 2 so far, specifically because of the bugs and A-life issues, but once those are less of a factor, I'll play the game fully to the end without any mods, like it is intended to be.

Honestly I haven't even played gamma at all for a long time. I'm deprived of all things stalker. It's been updated a lot since I played last, it seems. I only just started thinking about it because of the chaos on their discord a few hours ago.

I 100% know what you mean, I completed it in 1.0 (about 56 hrs) and I regret not waiting for the first iteration of a-life to be added.

The game felt a lot better and fresh but that first playthrough magic was completely gone for me. I’m hoping once it’s done it’ll feel like a whole new game again.

The bot had an AFK feature where users could leave an AFK message through the bot, I guess to say why you are afk in the voice channel or something idk. But someone figured out you could @ everyone in the message, and did it dozens of times.

It wasn't that bad until thousands of people, pissed off about getting pinged so much, flooded into the channels, spamming racist memes, nazi pictures, naked men, saying every slur known to mankind, that sort of shit.

So, not hacked, just a bot exploit, and the half a million people in the discord went apeshit...
