It just drains the player’s health like it is physical damage, where it instead should make the player go insane and kill himself when the psi-damage is severe enough. What would be great is a complete rework of this damage type, similar to the bifröst damage from god of war ragnarök, where the psi-damage occupies the health bar with another color and once the psi-bar reaches the end, either by severity or taking regular damage, the player would off himself. I think this is miles better than just draining the player health like any other damage type. Idk, but you think? This makes more sense to me and adds more layers of gameplay.

I'm not super far in because I was determined to run CP2077 on my VR before giving up eventually so I played all three "origin stories". But I played it ons max settings now for perhaps 10 hours and it's amazing. It does feel quite RPG-ish with regards to the Skilltree with the Expansion (never played vanilla). The dialogues aren't as RPG-ish as BG3 or the Illwinter stuff but you pick your looks, your skills, and your dialogue options are gated behind your skills and about half the time there seem to be real world consequences for your choices once you're out of the "tutorial".

It could be even more RPG but to say it isn't one doesn't feel right either.

To be fair, Alife was pretty simple. It was a set of preferential decisions based on faction and OG stalker’s combat AI was very cleverly designed. They only attack you or your last known position and they are allowed to position closer to you till you detect them. (Aka look at them) hence why you can get domed by a bandit with a sawn off because you never bothered to turn around.

'you have to stockpile food by tons because your character has superdiabetes and needs to replenish calories per every 10 feet they sprinted. Also medkits make you hungry. You die for no reason because you don't get a geiger counter by default and have to save up to buy it. You can store your loot in a crate, but it gets deleted every first day of the month so you need to start anew. If you get one shotted by some NPC that hid around the corner you lose all your proggress'

Controversial take, I like UE so far, it at least runs incredibly smooth for how detailed the visuals are. And models dont lose much on quality up close, so it feels more immersive.

RAM is also so much incredibly better. The price of DDR5 is ridiculously good compared to what DDR4 was when it released. I remember when 8GB of DDR4 were what 32GB of DDR5 is today.
