I returned to the game on Xbox Series X now after the controller deadzones are "fixed". Although there is a slight input lag, I find the controller working pretty well atm. Lack of any kind of aim assist is a pain, especially when there is a pack of faster enemies charging at you, it's frustrating but I guess that's what I'll have to deal with.
On the other hand, AI is ghastly. I really cannot recall a AAA game in the last few years that had worse AI than this game right now. Enemies can't miss no matter what, regardless of the distance and weapon type, the cover is not working as it should and by far the most disappointing thing is non existent stealth. Enemies see you no matter what so currently guns blazing is the only way to go which is a shame.
On Series X game runs acceptable, not great but not terrible as well, there is a lot of pop ups in the distance which I personally don't mind, but I do mind a lot of inconsistent fps drops.
The atmosphere and feeling is absolutely there, I am enjoying the game even in the state there is but it constantly manages to break immersion every now and then and remind you that it is not really finished and optimized well at the moment.

Also, I really don't like games with horror elements which is another reason I took it slow, but I really loved Metro series just becuase of the enviroment so gave this a shot. A good decision IMO
