Yeah, but unfortunately, as you say, none of the games nowadays are basically released finished. Maybe with exception of games like death stranding. But that was really an unicorn in this regard. But I don't understand however different thing when GSC no doubt saw how stalker was kept alive with modding, why didn't they make stalker 2 with lots of options like difficulty options where you can tune up damages and health of mutants and humans, allow player to tune their experience to how they like, from the get-go. Make it as hardcore as you wish or as easy as you wish. Turn on sleeping, provide sleeping bag. Provide all the options for the players to basically mod the game within the game.

Thats a damn good question. It also released with less features. I believe the answer lies in console parity. Those thing did not work on console and so had to be cut out. I imagine a lot of things were scaled back or taken out for that reason. Take this with a grain of salt cuz i wasnt there and dont know jack shit about how to do their jobs.

The catering to cosoles again. Console market is a large market, so it makes sense. But it also results in what you describe.
Devs trimming away good features. So that it can run on shit hardware.Just look at cyberpunk. Gone are the days of devs making purely pc

Haha yeah same here. Cop was imo the game where Gsc perfected their formula gameplay wise. It is the most polished easy to underatand and access stalker game, but the new maps and changes to the engine, like sparse foliage instead sprolibg grassfields we knew and loved from previous titles, made thw zone the most meh. of them all. Ther was a hacked dll that boosted the foliage to insane levels that hwlped xD Call of Chernobyl was genous tho. Ihave enjoyed it emencely. the.marrage of all maps on cop engine superb

yeah also i missed the crouch and deep crouch along with walk system from shoc. it is weird but when you turn off the always run in the console. It all makes sense You have walk, you run with shift and sprint with sprint key. But when you crouch you go low and slow defautly and with shift you crouch run bit higher. it was genious system.. But in cop ? gone. Rsly go to shoc and type g_always_run off and the movement inthe game becomes.a lot better and careful

how do people think the npcs in stalker trilogy actually appears in game? do you think they all come from the mainland and then just starts walking around the zone? they are all spawned in. the problem with the current stalker 2 a-life is that the online/offline radius is too small, so we'll often see them just popin in and out.. most people who complains about a-life doesnt even know how it works or forgets that efp, anomaly or even gamma have heavily tweaked/improved alife and thinks its just how it worked on the original games
