It's probably a disconnect between them and gamers (at least for myself) what the beginning meant. For me it means that they will roll out patches frequently in the first few months (3,4) of the game. But in practice it meant the 1 2 week of the game or so. Not to mention that those frequent patchings were only to fix something the previous patch got wrong.
And in general we can say that there has been like 2 patches since release. Others are just "marketing" "we got another patch out". Not that they are doing bad or anything, but the frequency of the patching is 1 per month.

exactly, those patches are fine that they react quickly on errors made by the initial patch but reguler frequent updates means 2 things for me:
-Fixes for issues that are in the base game
-1 per week for example (1 per 2 weeks I would call "great" but not worth mentioning that they are "frequent". 1 per month is "as usual just like other titles")

I think that's incorrect. The day one patch was NOT the patch magazines and online "persons" (such as digital foundry) made their reviews on. Digitalfoundry points out that they played the game with weapon fire sounds not playing every time etc....That is something the day 1 patch fixed.

Not specifically. I think in general they will try to improve performance as much as they can, but that's not something they called out specifically like "the next patch will have great performance improvements".

I mean it's clear that this is not "insert your bugfree game here" type of game that's for sure. But as time went by releasing buggy games unfortunately became a standard. It's like hey we are AAAAA game company we dont need to tag our games Early access, but apart from that our game will have the same incomplete feeling just like any other early access title

I played Cyberpunk once at launch, then once again after it had a fair amount of fixes and I was happy. They didn't have to do what they did with the total progression revamp in 2.0 but that made it spectacular

I mean for me a game is game because how in Stalker 2 (for example) skif pull up a weapon, changes mods on the go. How he gestures with his hand during speech, how you can equip a detector and hear the startup sound of it etc....
They couldve gone without that but it would be not a game I like.
