I did not expect this game to be that good. As a fan of Stalker I was quite sceptical, cause a lot of people hated on this game and I did not knew what to think of it. But now, when I can play the game myself, I love it. I love the new factions, characters, new everything and I literally can't wait for the future of this series. My only complaint is that I wish the game could be in better technical state, cause without one small mod which helps with stutter and such I had some serious frame drops quite often. Better we can do is wait for a fix on the next patch, what I did was to lock my fps to 30 when I'm at Rostok and enable motion blur to "smooth" out my experience while I'm on that area (I used to play on series s, so I kinda got used to 30 fps anyways, but that might not be the ideal "workaround" for you)

i was only able to die of starvation when i started messing around with the hunger rates on my mod, cause before, you would get hungry but it wouldnt do anything with your health, except making your stamina drain a lot faster

i'm working on improving the realism of consumables, added in some game/weapon qol changes and the game feels way more enjoyable now, like you actually have to think before engaging on firefights, what to eat, etc

the only confirmation I got so far from my reported bugs (5+) is the unlimited grenade bug. Basically right now if you have 1 grenade you have infinite. Just throw and quikcly switch to another weapon. Grenade count will remain the same

considering megalights and better nanite with a SHITLOAD of improvements done since 5.1 to 5.5 i think the performance boost could be quite substantial, i seen some demo's of 5.5 with one scene running barely 10 fps and the boost with megalights was just immense to 30+ fps, unless there is too much custom code for it to be viable then i think the port could be easily done especially since GSC is not a small team (Hell porting satisfactory from UE4 to 5.3 is way harder as its completely different and they managed to keep great performance levels)

it would improve the perfonmance gray zone warfare was on UE 5.1 and i was getting 60-70 fps on it with frame gen on in native 1080p and with the new UE 5.4 they upgraded to i now get more than 60 fps with frame gen in native 1080p sometimes even 100
