Ah, I personally don't consider them the same because CoP lets you finish all of the story missions before giving you the choice of freeplay, whereas S2 doesn't, it just gives you a spot to turn back before the end.

Probably not 8 years, but in two recent interviews GSC has said that they're planning to support S2 for longer and more intensely than they had originally anticipated. (They weren't expecting the game to do as well as it has.)

If you haven't already try and enable NVIDIA reflex, that pretty much fixed the frame gen input lag for me. Otherwise, lower your settings until you can get a base 40 or so. Unfortunately that is most likely what is causing it, turn off frame gen when input lag is bad and im sure you'll notice ur native framerate is... less than stellar.

That's because the icon is determined by your roles. Some roles can be selected, others can be granted by server admins.

I get the game has to scale with your new gear and all that but it's a little extreme and immersion breaking to say the least. They could, at the very least, scale the difficulty relative to the area you're in.

Maybe not stable 120 but DLSS is a hell of a drug that the 40 series were basically designed to run with constantly, I doubt the issue is your GPU though if it can't even hit 60 while my 3070Ti is hitting 60 almost constantly with the exception of stutters when massive firefights take place.

You can get best of both worlds these days. Ninja 400 is a great beginners bike and a really good commuter as well. My Hypermotard 821 was by far the most relaxed/comfortable bike I’ve owned, but also the one giving me the most headaches. Stay away from super sports for longer commutes, my neck and back really hate my R1 at this point

imo i prefer VR over mutliple screen for stuff like this, sure the speeds are VERY high so you can get way easier dizzy but considering the more realistic feel over any screens in existence id say its worth just going for VR, and you can also buy different controllers etc (like you can get a mount for a joystick if you want to play DCS and mount that to the sim rig, some are pretty modular, and being able to scan for enemies with just your head movement is way nicer than needing to manually use a joystick or mouse to look around.

i only know game isnt using 2/3 of them cause i can move them when game is active. it used to generate those and (presumably) use them before it was broken. so some code is being rerun while you play instead of automatically calculated. might not be a huge perf cost but i would almost guarantee there is one.

Look at games and think for yourself: Does tha game has potential? Bugs can be fixed, features added.

Circumstances need to also be considered. Bethesda, Bioware, DICE, etc have no excuse. But Stalker 2 is made by a Ukrainian company and a massive war broke out during development with a relatively small team compared to lots of other developers and they're using UE5 which is a fairly new engine as it has tons of improvements and changes from UE4. All things considered we're lucky Stalker 2 didn't wind up in limbo for half a decade.

That's where my thinking is at too, honestly all things considered the fate of Stalker 2 could've been WAY worse from a worse launch to simply not being released due to lack of funding or inability to finish the game if the situation in the Slavic region deteriorated more than it already has.

i think people are mainly talking about stuff like no nvgs (which is really weird for a stalker game). where you can tell it feels some stuff is missing. like some dialogue options with freedom and duty that suggested they meant to have quests for them but they weren't able to squeeze them in by release. side quests also get pretty limited outside zaton/garbage/lesser zone in general and I am sure that was not what they wanted when they laid everything out.

the main issue with gpus is this is one of the many many many newer games where on older gpus you end up playing at 1080p but still relying on dlss meaning the game is a total blur fest. certainly not unqiue at all to stalker 2.

Northern Yantar is rough once you reach the Chasm but I didn't have any stutters, just a GPU peak. Zalissya and Slag Heap are perfectly fine for me, minus the one glitchy wall at Slag Heap.

It’s not possible, the question is equivalent to asking how can I keep my cpu from thermal throttling without changing the thermal paste.

The game takes your vram puts in on a shelf looses it and takes more vram until you are all out of vram.

That’s essentially what a vram leak is. There’s no settings besides graphical or resolution that will lower your vram usage.

So it’s rather drop the graphics, drop the resolution or wait for the vram leak to be patched out.

What I was writing was that Lorerim is quite the mid modlist that became popular because its author is quite active on youtube and adds tons of mods by request. These kinds of modlist tend to get problems in the long run, because skyrim is such a b* behind the scenes. The more mods they add the higher the chance you get save game bloat and stuff that starts to break even though they worked fine for hours. Its not only about CTDs its about everything else that stops working. I'd rather play a moderate modlist with a decent amount of chosen mods than just putting mods in by request and somehow make it work. I made my own enb preset and I have regular contact to a lot of mod authors who have way more knowledge about the direct skyrim modding and even the best people who put a modlist (their own private one) together reach a point where a new problem pops up that causes heavy problems. Btw its also a better modlist than nolvus at least. And not to say its a super bad modlist. Its fine but as I said what happens behind the scenes when it comes to 4k mods is not likely to work out good in the long run.

thats a bug when animations are I think being executed too quickly mostly in hectic situations, then it could be that a bug happens that causes the game to crash and its imprinted in the save game. problem is you only realise this on reload. In most cases the health HUD is empty like completely red (the body not the body parts) and it could be that you are going with this for a while without knowing and need to reload an older save.

its more like causing crashes due to script problems then. So the moment you want to do a certain action is CTD then with busy hands and this is consistent with the save it happened on also on reloading the savefile printed onto the save.

I've come to a couple conclusions. 1. Valik's AK is best early game rifle. 2. Giving the things to|| Zotov in Zalissya|| just sucks. Locks you out of a gun and a fun interaction later on based on doing a test with 2 save files. Welp time to start my actual playthrough instead of checking difficulty differences and testing early game life hacks for keeping good loot after the prologue.

its funny because I think of wukong more of a game like god of war than elden ring. Its actually no soulslike at all. It has souls like elements but the whole setup of wukong is more an action adventure story telling game that has a souls lockon system ect.

I would count Stalker 2 and Kingdom Come 2 as inside the same genre as they are both very heavy RPGs with life-sim elements like hunger, sleep, inventory/weight management, etc. the big difference is that one is medieval and the other is set in Chernobyl in a somewhat alternate history version of the 2010s at this point in the story but genres aren't defined as the setting a game takes place in.
