In the original trilogy (even outside of CoP), stashes had decent to good loot far more frequently than they do in HoC. There is precedent for stashes to not feel completely pointless like they do now.

You want to talk about throwing loot at the player? I've got so much food and medical supplies sitting in my stash that I will literally never run out. The game already throws loot at the player, the problem is that the majority of that loot is absolutely worthless and has almost no variety.

Finding stashes felt rewarding in the original trilogy but in HoC they do not, and that is a problem.

There are some unique stashes with special, high-tier/unique items in them. However the special stuff is almost always sitting next to stash container, while the stash container itself usually contains the same crap as usual but in larger amounts, and some of it might be a bit better than your normally see e.g. AP or HP ammo.

Once you have an an upgraded pair of weapons for CQC and midrange each, maxing ammo makes more sense than chasing sidegrades for minor benefits. Valik lummox' AKM is literally free and will carry you for ages

Good morning, who knows what can help, played stalker from the 1st day of release, from the first patch, the problem is of the following nature, in the first patch, it happened every 30 minutes, a sharp drop in FPS from 50 to 10, while the energy consumption of the video card dropped from 90 -120w to an even 50w, the video card began to hammer at 99% and the processor from 50-60% fell to 10-25%, in the second patch, everything became even worse, the same symptoms but not 30 minutes, but every 5 seconds, it is impossible to play, in patch 1.0. 3 nothing changed, but in patch 1.1. 2 it became better, but it is also impossible to play, everything is the same but every 2-3 minutes, after dancing with a tambourine, I came to the conclusion that this is because of DLSS and FSR 3.1, turning on both of these technologies separately did not lead to anything, everything is the same, I play with laptop "lenovo legion 5 3060, Rizen 5 5600h, 16 RAM" an important point, this happens regardless of the graphics settings, be it high or minimum, no mods help, I reinstalled all the drivers, a friend on a similar laptop configuration, differing only in the processor, everything is much more stable, but this also happened a couple of times, does anyone know what I should do?

enery plan in windows is balanced, shader cache is all on default settings. it crashed with a fixed cache of 10gb and without a manually set cache. wtf is DSR? im using HDR on my monitor as well. but idk, i dont have the time or energy to try and tweak every setting on my computer to run this game. thats on their part, they need to test the game and make it more robust. it shouldnt crash. as simple as that. no other game crashes for me. i ran cinebench and got nice scores. everything is fine on my part.
im just gonna play some god of war ragnarok until they manage to fix it

I think part of it was how the initial versions of Frostbite simply weren't built for anything else but a pure FPS though. BioWare went through hell for a few projects using Frostbite but now it seems okay enough to the point where nobody mentioned the engine choice for the new Dragon Age (obviously its problems are elsewhere lol)

A thing I miss about the old lab designs is also just how big they were. Doors werent just closed for no reason, you could legit explore the entire lab. The Dark Valley lab was my favourite of the ones I got to

also dont forget some incredible stuff like Generators being connected to their underground ON TOP of having a dedicated lab as separate map
Generators underground is amazing and definitely worth exploring

Game is good, has issues but it's genuinely a good game beneath all of it and GSC are putting in a lot of effort to bring things up to speed

Ive only played like 38 hours so far, but it got me to get off my butt and actually get a new PC so i can play it better. It can very easily become peak stalker

But yes as others say, if you just wanna play the game get the standard edition, deluxe is cool if you want a few extra things to do and/or want to support GSC a little extra

I think S2 looks really good in the typical slavjank sort of way. Characters look good in multiple light sources, weapon models are crazy good. Textures aren't bad, but the indoor lighting is worse than 2001's Halo, with Quake era brown dark mush everywhere. Outdoors detail is fantastic except 80% of the time it's cloudy with that ugly overcast light that gives everything zero shadows and speculars

yæs fluff can be good. I like the soft shadows in rdr2 but stalker 2 shadows just rub me the wrong way a little bit, and the way when youre far away in a dark room it kinda stops before the room end and you have a brighter part pretty far away, looks a bit funny
