yeah the story was def a positive point for me with rttn, and it was more simple to get a grasp of than the others which was also nice for me since personally i dont really like the "the point of the game is to make your life a living hell" type of gameplay the others offered

Hey so uh.. I dunno if this is a bug or not, but.. I started the game recently around christmas, and after starting the quest 'Stalkers wisdom' early on, I couldn't find Lens, the tech guy, and the marker was next to some cowshed, and led me to the middle of nowhere.

Decided to keep progressing, made it out of the lesser zone, the mission canceled, and then I finally looked up where he was supposed to be, right next to hamster, I go there, there is nobody in this garage, where did he go? did he just die somehow? how am I gonna repair my gear here?

After like 150 hours I would say my main criticism are the following: 1) lack of long range combat (and unrealistic bullet velocity/drop), 2) lack of detailed sidequests outside a handful/lack of content outside of garbage/zaton/lesser zone (idk how they could really feasibly address this outside of dlc tho?) 3) weapon balance racks my brain, so many weapons are just not useful or a sidegrade or a total downgrade which really sucks because the weapons are nicely detailed/sfx/vfx. 4) loot is super strange. Huge detailed varied map but there is very very very little good loot to find on it.

There's a lot of potential here. I like the story quite a bit. Map is sick. Lots of neat looking artifacts to find. Art direction is peak. I think in like 3 years with the right mods this game will amazing.

Well they kinda tie into each other on a psychological level, it makes it feel smaller when you're running into the same thing every 100 meters. RDR2's map feels bigger than it is because the scenery changes wildly over pretty short distances.

The dynamic weather is a real strong point I would have liked to see more of in the scenery, as of now the only dynamic part is the gravity anomalies doing funny stuff with debris. Maybe a-life will improve that, but I don't think we'll see dynamic camps or moving vehicles
