I’m having a blast currently hyper focused probably too much on finding a Magic Cube artifact by farming Grav anomalies.

I did learn today thru research that story artifacts obviously are gone once picked up

But all other anomalies in the zone will reset after emissions and sleep some longer than others but if you wanted to you could revisit anomalies and farm expensive artifacts to sell over and over or try to get the rare ones

It’s nice you can get rare or legendary ones anywhere in the zone and it’s not dictated based on being in higher level zones or lesser zone.

If you’re fighting for the Ward you’re supposed to stay behind the troops. I learned that the hard way. You stay behind them and use a scoped weapon to headshot the monoliths at the checkpoint area

The soldiers ahead of me seemingly did a good amount of the work.

Once inside the checkpoint ||After shooting the psi lamp emitters on the bridge above|| you just tuck into a room on the right and peek out to shoot the soldiers.

I brought like 8 frag grenades and took cover behind a car I chucked grenades towards the soldiers and helped clear some out

Then I just bounded car to car and took headshots when I could.

Pre patch I was getting lit up instantly and dying fast

Post patch the soldiers actually did a good job and I didn’t die as much

I get the intricacies of a firefight in this game, but the ai aiming is supernatural. Even in pitch black darkness across a forest they constantly hit you, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Keep gaslighting and acting like some pro gamer but you know exactly what I'm talking about.

The update is already out on gamepass. It's just the version number that's different. But all the fixes introduced in 1.1.3 are present. So technically the game pass current version is 1.1.2 (which in 1.1.1 had the fixes of 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 merged and 1.1.2 is 1.1.3)

||it’s either another door you need to go through, or you need to reload an earlier save and see if that fixes it. Worse comes to worse you might need to download UETOOL to clip through the door. But reloading should be first thing to do|| @cobalt kite might be your PC, most likely its a Memory leak, try reloading the game to see if that fiuxes it and i also recommend running lower settings if it persists. I only get the micro stutters after a few hours of playing

This is the first time ive heard someone encountering an issue of the quest giver despawning, I'm assuming ur talking about the bartender side quests, and not a main quest, correct? Unfortunately it is impossible to TP in Stalker 2 without a third party mod, I'm not sure I know of any that would allow such a thing yet however.

Those are the only NPC's in the game that will do that btw, the UA voiceover should work everywhere else. I have no idea what on Earth could have caused that but theres no way to fix it for that side quest unfortunately

If I were in ur position I would probably restart the game, the new patches are pretty good tbh, not perfect, but actually miles better than launch, it will thankfully get much better over time since they turned a profit.

@shut carbon yes thats basically the gradiant. They will have diminishing returns but they do stack with another endurance. The other status effects (excluding radiation which stacks the same as endurance) will go up to 5.

welp @tender oracle I've been trying to find a way to locate SIDs to, at the very least, delete and respawn dead/lost NPCs (although cloning them could have problems down the line but whatever), but I can't find a way to reliably locate the SIDs. I found a list of them in the nexus but they don't seem to work (at least for the ones I've tried) and the TeleportToNPC command does not seem to work reliably even if you do get a reliable SID. I was also trying to use the "select next/previous debug target" on the uetools console, but the keys don't seem to work either. Honestly puzzling that this stuff isn't more accessible but I guess we're going to need to wait for the SDK before we can figure this out better.

I'm assuming if an essential or quest related NPC happens to die or disappear during your game you're up the creek without a paddle for now. That's a terrifying prospect.

Just in case it helps anyone....I've been having constant rain since getting to a 'certain area'. I had it for about 2-3 hours IRL. Eventually I installed the UE Tools mod to get a console and entered the following command: XSetWeatherLocked 0. The weather has been dynamic for me again. Not sure if it's permanently fixed it but I've had clear, stormy and cloudy so far, all dynamic.

Exactly what i was thinking. Could add as QoL interchangable plates that could repair your armor to a certain degree where its still a slight handicap but its not overbearing. Same with gun repairs, should be able to clean a gun yourself

Well, these things exist in different layers of the gameplay loop. It is expected for things like health and stamina to go down and up from moment to moment. Gear condition is meant to go down and be repaired with less frequency, to more or less align with the stops you already have to make in order to sort through your loot, turn in quests, etc

One of my concerns is this: what is the high risk high reward scenario in this game? In Fallout you loot rare things on enemy bases. In Metro pretty much the same except maybe some bases are abandoned. The worst case scenario is you get nothing. The best you get something cool.

Right now in Stalker 2 you'll end up with a million medkits enough to open a drugstore and tons of processed food. But all of it won't cover repair costs from 15 rats attack. And even if you loot something good like some high level suit you won't be able to maintain the repair costs and still generate some stable income to finally fix your goddamn flat.

I mean... what I do to go around this is just having vastly reduced loot and a more punishing economy, but lowering weapon and armor wear. I have legitimately spent a couple ingame days just poking around and doing stashes so I can stell stuff to save up for upgrades, repairs and stuff. And some stashes do have really neato pieces of gear, just like 90% of them are duds. I'm quite happy with this game loop.
(also itemization helps with not ending up with massive hoard piles of medkits and sausages)

They'll give you a side-quest that will involve you clearing out the basement to kill a mutant. The stash and the area you explore will be underneath the reservoir/courtyard thing.||

There's also a bug that iirc triggers at 3 hours and 59 minutes playtime (or something like that, can't remember exact) which permanently gives you ads lag, similar to what you described but a independent issues.

here's a quick way to tell: is the bar moving even a little over idk 30 seconds? If not, force close, if you're on nvidia make sure your shader cache size is unlocked, and relaunch.
I'm assuming youre PC is meeting the minimum reqs such as 16gb ram and about 6 gb vram yes?
