I just rely on common sense more than warnings. Like sometimes, one should know when to stop, and what lines are not to be crossed. So for people experiencing the game crash bug when trying to start up the main menu and hit continue or click a individual save file, you can create a new game but if you die and try to load back in it’s a 50/50 chance your game will crash or it will be fine. And loading into a save file from the pause menu will cause your game to crash as well. Hopefully I can play this game on my actual save file and playthrough this holiday

SoC, you have poor accuracy often, and even on the lowest difficulty, a zombie with 5.45 or 5.56 4 or even 3 shots you

Clear Sky, Faction Wars are terrible and don't function properly. Even the shooting range, which PC players from over 14 years ago could effortlessly get 500 points with the 5.56 rifle, even while standing, you'll struggle to hit 200 while crouching, aiming a little for bullet drop, and firing slowly to avoid reticle bloom. Most bullets will visibly pass through the target and get 0 points

Fair enough, I’ve played through SoC and it’s different overhauls about a hundred times but I’m autistic. I still recommend AMK+AA2, its fantastic and doesn’t stray from the original storyline or add unnecessary side plots

I agree with an above post that Anomaly is fun for a sandbox-y kind of feeling. I like the infinite loop and tedium of just hunting for artifacts, killing duty, and improving my loadout. I like the stories in the official STALKER games, but I also like that Anomaly offers a base that anyone can build their preferred Zone sandbox on.

Saying it's a prerequisite to STALKER 2 rather than the original trilogy is sociopathic behavior, though.

Gamma is quite fun for gunplay and the free roam, make your own story kind of thing. Has armour and weapon parts. Cant buy weapons so you find them and fix them up yourself by scavenging parts from loot and dismantling guns. I find it fun even though a lot of hard-core fans don't really like it. I like the freedom aspect and open ended feeling. Doing side quests and kind of being a bit if a merc and helping out specific factions.

Creating a new engine though is very expensive and time consuming, not worth it unless you are a huge company, even then it's not worth it

The only real issue with the engine is that compared to previous versions UE5 is pretty much worse in every single way. It can produce some amazing tech demos that gave me hope and got me excited before it released, real world experience on consumer hardware on the other hand...

Unity is capable of making stuff like stalker 2 tbf. It'd just be a ton of work and is less common because UE is aaa industry standard. Source: I'm a unity dev
