The dev started talking to the community more, then they would get even more questions than they do now. All this really just hinders development, trust me. And it would just add fuel to the fire in this discord lets be honest. Plus if they say not a lot, they wont get pigeon-holed with questions they cant answer or say somthing to appease that might not 100 percent come true.

More communication would be great, but as a developer myself, its such a nuisance to try to explain to customers.

Also, what im working on this week, may not reflect what is next on the release schedule, that stuff could be long decided and done. So now people might get even worse notions about what is coming. And yes, weekly or even biweekly is frequent enough for a developer to update customers that it would hinder their flow. Okay they delay the patch, its now christams so no patch til january. Now a conservative 35% of people who bought the game are pissed.
