Unfortunately. It's my favorite gun but it is not viable past SIRCAA. Then again I play on veteran on the probably-wrong assumption that it works like trilogy 'master' difficulty. Where you do more damage but so do enemies. It does 15% less damage than the regular AR416, making it the second worse assault rifle in the game.

My entire argument was that the Monolith AR416 is not a skin because the stats are different. What bothers me is that it is worse, in fact one of the worst weapons in the game. I love it, but it needs mods.

Some people say the tech in Yanov can do it, others say they can't. I'd hate to spend 2+ hours IRL running all the way across the map, just to find out they can't actually upgrade anything extra for me

It's an outdated card for things coming out of the gate. Your card will not always keep up with games. There is no permanent future-proofing. The only way to get 5+ years out of a card is to not buy the budget versions. My 4080 does well.

i managed to get rid of stutters and 5 fps drops on my 4060 ti. all high settings even DLAA upscaling quality. but the DLSS frame generation is a no-no, it puts pressure vram usage wise on the GPU and runs over 8gb and then it falls on itself. i use fsr 3 instead and now i have a solid 65-70 fps on 1080p with no 5 fps drops, instead of with dlss frame generation i had 95-100, but occasionally every 10-15 minutes i got the 5 fps drops that way

I ran into a separate bug at the Chemical Plant earlier. A side quest that refuses to let me complete it because the NPC I need to deliver to just stares at a lamp post and tells me "not now". After a while, the objective and the entire quest failed on its own lol (this happened before the big jank turning point)

Again - I think it's naive to assume UE5 is the issue, per se. They're using a less optimized version of it (their choice), and they seem to have a lot of optimizations yet to go. There are other UE5 games that are open world, gorgeous, far more cpu heavy, use lumen, etc and run far better than S2.

A lot of games use UE4 and UE5; people notice when they run shitty; then they blame the engine. They don't notice when it runs well, and they never bother looking at the engine.

@icy tangle Satisfactory is my go-to example. Open world, has a ton of shit going on which is memory and cpu heavy. Far render distances. Has lumen if you want it.
It's smooth as butter, even at end-game when there are possibly thousands of animated buildings producing tens of thousands of objects per second.

I reckon the next patch will be pretty substantial in fixing issues with mission soft locks since it’s preventing people from actually enjoying the game. I hope they manage to fix the memory leak issue with the next one though, I can play fine for a few hours then the frames just plummet and it’s like watching a slide show.

I'm still doubtful that this would be a memory leak. Memory leaks usually cause crashes, and with these slowdowns just changing the supersampling quality back and forth clears it up for me. No idea what it is, but I would suspect lumen being lumen.
But yeah the progression blocking stuff needs to take priority.

This is literally the definition of a memory leak issue. Not every leak causes crashes, but it steadily builds up RAM usage right now. From testing I've done it happens faster if you keep exiting and entering settlements

With the detruction of C-Con,which was right after the storm, Monolith in itself began to Break apart. As you can See with strider and His group in cop. They were working on even keeping the Center under Control so why Push south and leave Military Zombies there?

Theres zero indicators for Monolith to be involved with these positions, and the Controller nearby solidifies that the Zombies werent from brainscorcher time ( shortly before the Push) either
