I think alife extended is pretty hit and miss but as of the last patch it is probably the best alife mod based on my experience. Novichok's seems to help the AI not feel like they're stoned out of their gourd, and the maklane mod also makes them feel less aimbotty when they start shooting at you. The AI still seems to be able to detect you through walls and floors but I don't think there's a whole lot that can be done about it.

I think the gameplay of the OG games is incredibly stilted and clunky, but that's up to each. I do miss the binoculars though.
A-life imo is incredibly hyped up for what it ends up being in the first games though I guess I haven't experienced those hallmark gamer moments that everyone is creaming their pants about. Yes it's neat to find the squad you crossed paths with 10 minutes ago dead down the same direction they came from, it doesn't impact gameplay that much at the end of the day.

Stalker 2 is like the game that borrowed from the old games and then dumbed it down, got rid of the cool stuff and made the game for modern audiences. No stat screen anymore, no binoculars, no night vision in suits, shooting somehow feels better in the old games, no strange Skyrim compass, mutants that are dangerous but don't take 3 magazines to kill, no overabundance of Bloodsuckers every single POI, smaller maps that don't require boring travel for like 10 hours of your playtime, somehow the character writing is more interesting and the same goes for quests tbh. Dialogue in general, it's not voiced but Reading it is actually fun, compared to the second game which just feels like Ubisoft level of writing when it comes to character interactions

@heavy cloak now let me give you an example that doesn't include numbers but would be equally as useful. Keep the suit bars. Get rid of the weak, medium whatever on artifacts. Instead give artifacts the same bars as the suit. Now putting on artifacts adds the protection to your suit bars in a different color. Full suit bar is 100%. No divide the bars by intervals of 10 or 25%. All the sudden I can have all my stats on my suit screen.

I don't think my case is very normal however or widely spread. Gaming on a 42inch 4k OLED TV at 120hz isn't the "norm". If I was playing at 1080p I'm sure my 6800 would be fine. You can run stalker 2 fine with a 500-600$ pc at 1080p.

damn after 83 hours I am kinda at the point where I don't enjoy the money progression in the game anymore. so many situation where you barely get enough money. no mutant parts, way too few miscellanious quests to bring people artifacts ect. I mean what is this? You finish one quest and then the guy is like "i don't have any tasks anymore" I am kinda missing the Gamma and anomaly situation where you get all tons of quests from everywhere and could just earn money with minor actions on your journey

At the moment it has to be either "super lucky" to have a rare artifact and even more lucky if someone wants to buy it for almost full price through a minor quest. You sell weapons that are weighing you down a ton and can't even make up for the repair costs, through quests which take considerable ressources to finish and after that its not even enough money for your maintenance cost. By going with a cheap setup just not engaging with anything regarding equipment at all, not upgrading anything and waiting until you have tons of money.

I wish it would offer more minor ways to have a steady money income by just travelling and doing stuff in the world.

state of the game with lacking alife unfortunately. If you're on PC get the Alife Extended mod, Maklane's overhaul pack + mutant loot is also great. Combine these wtih removing compass and threat indicator from HUD and you got something closer to OG stalker again

@lean creek I havent had any issues with the latest ones i just listed. Been having issues with some other so i've kept myself to throse 3 only. Really enhanced my experience, although not 100% Alife it still is wayt better than the current state of the game.

Also garbage and zaton is, unfortunately, one of the worse parts of the game imo. When you get beyond that, in th mid to late game, things get more interesting. And the story is good. I'll finish the game now and leave it be, coming back when there is a better gameplay loop involving alife and maybe even anomaly style mods out again.

They haven't said anything in regards to this as far as I have read. But it's basically what it is: this is the minimum finished game.

I mean, if you look at the game alone, without expectations of features from the previous games, it is a complete gaming experience on par with a Far Cry game + way more, great gunplay, great story, good scripted events, awesome atmosphere, optimization could be way worse considering its ue5 and the graphics are insane with a good rig and good fps. It is a complete game, just not what they'd imagined pre-conflict. Hell, considering the state of the game, I am impressed we got this, and with the 3 patches already I am quite confident in that they will continue rolling out big feature updates and patches.

Hey I was just expressing my opinion, calma por favor.. What I'm trying to say is that while the game does not have core features that they promised, it's still a complete experience as it is right now although it has its bugs and missing features. Atleast thats how I view it. I am in no way saying that they should feel finished with the game and not make any more improvements, as I really hope and expect they do, as far as the promised features go. But to me its still a 9/10 experience, and will be 10/10 most likely when i replay it in a year or so and it has more of the features I also am missing

While many game developemnt companies are cash grabbing by selling unfinished games on purpose through the early access strategy, I believe GSC has a fairly good reason to why their game is at the state it currently is at, and it seems they are dedicated to compensate for lacking and broken parts of the game. Which is rare among unfinished games. I mean, look at cyberpunk. It was bad at start and now its great with everyone praising it. Same with no mans sky.

And I never said it was finished. It feels like a complete experience worth my money as it stands, I have dunked down 60+ hours already on a singleplayer game, i'd say to me its a complete experience.
But no I don't believe it is finished.
