@quartz wind but that doesn't solve the problem of there being too many medkits etc in the world. If I am in a tense firefight and run out of medkits all I have to do is run 10 meters and I have my heal. Or just loot a corpse. Dunno I think there should be less as it would give a better survival feeling overall where you are scraping these things together only to barely survive. Now that sense isn't really there.

@prime walrus maybe a little more ammo would be good. Unloading someone's assault rifle only to get one bullet back while it took me almost a whole clip to kill him does hurt the feelings a little each time. I think the bullet aspect is pretty well done. I've had to change weapons entirely on several occasions just make sure I have a weapon with ammo at all before I head out. Not all vendors sell the ammo you always need. Makes you think and plan ahead for the journey 😉

hmmm yeah that is true now that you say it. Havent thought about that but they are really good. Only thing they dont do is stop bleeding. Bandages are pretty balanced in my opinion. They do as advertised and give you a little top on your health. If they ever change the spawn rates of these things I'll prob start hoarding bandages.

The problem with the economy is that it is extremely punishing early game, to the point of completely disincentivising experimentation with upgrades and discouraging doing repairs (just use whatever you find). Once you start running into enemies that drop fairly valuable rifles, money starts flowing.

They're all rng and from what I have read, legendary artifacts have under a 3% drop chance 😭 (but thats still speculative, due to a slew of factors that might affect that number)

The economy definitely needs work. You're heavily incentivized to over-cucumber yourself dragging around weapons, gear and meds to sell because the quest rewards and artifacts just aren't worth that much. Even the "legendary" artifacts don't cover the cost of a low/mid-tier suit or decent weapon, how does that make any sense at all? Canonically, artifacts are supposed to be so valuable that they are worth risking life and limb over, the very things that draw people to the Zone in the first place, yet the majority of them are hardly worth their weight in processed meat.

no it literally isn't. you get a grand or so for broken guns - it's better to sell artifacts for 3-6k or potentially 24k if you find the right ones. relying on selling broken guns is way more of a grind and not exactly more feasible or rational than finding artifacts. artifacts are extremely crucial to the gameplay loop.

Also quake 3 for vr.. there's an amazing quake 1 vr mod that makes it feature complete and more polished than official vr ports, and it has working multiplayer but I've never found peep to play with but playing with bots was a revelation! You can just aim the rocket launcher behind you and at the ground without looking and basically move like iron man with one hand

The entire point is so that it takes a glance, thos way you dont have to read the numbers and remember them, then scroll up and try to find the specific icon that has those numbers as there are lots that have just one number changed.

It seems every Exo has something different wrong with their shadows when you are not using weapons. I’ve only worn Diamond and Ruby, but Diamond the Exo Arms and legs disconnect from the body into A-pose and Ruby your Torso and arms disappear making you look like a Fnaf Endo skeleton.

I have a gdrive backup with 30 hours ish saves. and currently with 40 hours. There's saves every hour or so. Someone mentioned that the game also backs up your save data somewhere in the appdata folder. Might be worth a look.

You sell the weapons for scraps, repairing em is an investment you decide to make. I've got more than enough guns, duplicates that I sold even, plenty of spare armor to switch out and upgrades I could easily keep buying. Find good jobs, artifacts on the way and you should be safe
