Yes and no. They'll have the same poi's however the scale is MUCH different. In the OG games the game is very small scale, you can run from one end of the level areas to the other pretty fast, compared to Stalker 2.

For anyone curious if the patched fixed things, YES IT DID! I gained 15-20 fps no more stuttering these annoying VRAM leaks are patched out playing for 1 hour now and no crash no VRAM leak. No stutters. The %1 fps lows are significantly better so yes this patch is a big W. gigachad patch.

I'm on Stalker difficulty and just put 10 shots of buckshot into the thing point blank and more. That much gunfire literally destroys meat. Mulches it. Whether I'm cornered up, it's stationary, or even out of reach, I'm hitting it and just eating round after round when it attacks me. Still doesn't go down. They used to take a couple good shots to kill in the previous games. I don't understand why they are tougher than anything else in the series now. The balance and spawning is still so bad that I don't want to play the game anymore.

Something got worse. I'm running the game at low to be sure I don't have to fight with FPS, ever if I have a good rig, I don't care about graphic. At low I'm getting 60/70 fps, while before the patch I was around 120+. Never stable, but it was double of what I have now. I tried to run the game at high, before patch I was going like 60/50 fps, now it goes immediately at 5 fps, ever in low populated areas.

Also, without mentioning that in both case (prior and after patch) the game just randomly drops at 5 fps. Doesn't matter if I'm at low or high, I cannot enjoy the game.

This is why I dropped it. I can see the potential but I don't want to ruin my experience with it. It is missing too much stuff that I hope will be added soon, and it needs at least to stop having this frame drops that force me to restart the game.

I will wait for gamma 9.3 or go back to play original games until this get more stable...

the game might page memory to your c drive into windows appdata? is windows on an ssd? with spare space? i think its something to do with hardisk space somehow . or the game not being in the same drive as windows? worth a try

I would use frame gen if it didn't have that disgusting blur effect when you look around but that's obviously due to the game generating interpolated frames to have a "higher framerate".
I would move the game to my C: Drive if I had 150gb of spare storage there since it is also an SSD but alas I do not nor do I want to reinstall this behemoth of a game on a new drive

i reckon thats ur issue. it wants to be on the same drive as windows i reckon . sucks but u can move it in steam without too much drama. or its time to reinstall windows on that bigger drive and make it the main one. I cant prove it but i know mines on the main drive with a freshish version of windows so it could be the solution.

Couldn't tell ya, I have the latest Windows updates and as to what I have running in the background not a whole lot really other than Discord and my web browser when I play games. I hardly have many tabs on there so I doubt that's the problem. I'll try to install on my C: Drive just to see how it goes but I highly doubt that'll fix much when I can run other high demand games on my system at max settings with hardly any issues.

also much better, was still using valiks akm and it was getting up to about 10k and went down to around 1/2k
at least i can finally use better guns without worrying about getting a loan out

also dont use aftermarket antivirus programs and check if motherboard bios is up to date. id go a full fresh windows for this game just for the sake of science but yeh just moving it to windows drive might help. i think it is sending memory from one drive to the other or some shizzle
