By then, and every month after that standard, once sdk releases, the return on value every person who purchased this game will be multiplied tenfold by the various modders who have passion for the setting and the game.

yeah I had to work around a really bad one with UEtools. Dig some digging and could see that genrally the softlocks dont end there and they are mostly related to the main story so I'm decided to not progress through the story for now and wait. On the other hand I've been artifact hunting and got a nice stash of money and a couple of legendary artifacts. Also just got the rhino and my god that thing is disgusting. GSC never nerf the rhino please. It's perfect.

fortunately for me, i was able to get 25hrs in without a single crash or game breaking bug. i think they polished the game up until the halfway mark specifically for critics and initial players/launch week. but once you hit the half way mark it seems theres a plethora of issues. overall ive enjoyed the game a ton so far, and its frustrating that ive have to put it down until a hotfix comes out for crash fixes

• Actual A-life. No 50 meters away spawns with enemies that immediately see you. And most of the stuff feels scripted
• Missing shadows (campfire, flashlight, grass, shooting, etc)
• Better day/night cycle
• Asymmetric mouse sensitivity
• Input lag (with a bunch of settings on)
• UE5 lumen fixes (and hardware lumen)
• (comically common) UE5 stutter when transitioning sections
• The economy is bonkers. Selling is cheap, and repairing is expensive
• Actual stealth. Everyone sees you every time, shoots through walls, has a third eye on their back
• Address bullet sponge enemies. So far it's a super lazy difficulty implementation with no rhyme or reason to waste consumables and ammo on a sucker. Can we at least skin them? Can some of them drop artifacts?
• Mutant variety could be better. Some just run at you and headbutt you, some are invisible. It's alright for 2009 but not for 2024. Or at least new types of mutants in the future DLCs. A mutant could spray something around (an aoe damage) and not be a glorified dog/boar. At least some behavior variety and a number of attacks. Because the game got like 8 mutants and half of them are the same but look different huh.
• People praise the weather and it's impressive, but (spammy) stormy weather with lightning (like a beat) has become old real quick for me personally
• Eye adaptation problems (and why is it that when you look out of buildings in dark, bad weather, it's bright until you get out? it's awful)

I personally think economy is fine, I have plenty of extra money as I try to manage it by not damaging gear unnecessary, changing loadouts, going after all the stashes etc. At least there's some value to money, which only adds to hardcore experience that Stalker is.
