Clear Sky is different. When bleeding or wounded, first you use a bandage. Then second you use a medkit. Just using bandage after bandage is a waste without following the (1) bandage & (2) medkit routine.

Maybe you need more than 1 medkit. There is an icon for bleeding which is a blood drop. Stop that icon from showing red by using bandage. Stop health bar from dropping using medkit. Make sure you do not have radiation because that will also cause a health drop if left untreated.

I played Clear Sky 1.5.3, 1.5.4, 1.5.5, 1.5.6, 1.5,7, 1.5.8 and 1.5.10. Perhaps in the 1.5.10 version GSC made the game easier. They made so many changes in 1.5.10 to make the game easier, due to so many people complaining it was too hard in the earlier versions. The Faction Wars in 1.5.10 is only a shadow of its former self. So much missing and changed to make it easier.
