Lost Alpha and/or Priboi Story had both 7.62 x 39 and 5.45 X 39. Kind of a pain in the ass to have to pay attention to which AK you were holding. It also featured ammo you had to take out of your inventory (knapsack) and place it on your belt, where the finite amount on your belt, made ammo management more difficult or realistic depending on your point of view. Many times I knew I had plenty of ammo but had failed to update the ammo on my belt, and I would run out at inopportune times.

You added the Loot Money add-on I recommended. Without it you have to grind. Don't expect to buy an Exo in a week. Work your way to at least a mid-tier armor before you buy the Exo.

You picked the Loners, which is harder not having Companions until your score reached 1,000 in the DFR. Start with Clear Sky or Freedom. When you get Companions, THEY can carry large ammounts of your loot for you. That means yo uspend less time walking back and forth with small loads of loot to sell. Half a dozen men can carry a lot of loot, extra ammo, extra guns and you can operate farther, faster and longer, without your stamina being a problem, with you carrying too much loot.

Me too. You have keyboard commands to make them "passive" where they are not "aggressive" and run ahead of you and die trying to kill a rodent. You can keep a tighter formation behind you and do most of the work until they are needed. If you let them run wild and loot on their own, they are fools.

CotZ is less populated, less crowded Zone on purpose, to give you the feel like SoC first did. There are other Mods that have more action, more warfare and more money making situations. Just because I like CotZ, doesn't mean you have to.

I played regular CoC for may years, that had way more action. However, once you choose your Faction at the beginning, you are stuck with it for the whole game. Don't forget in CotZ, you can go to the Faction leader of any of your allies and pay a small fee to switch Factions.

There's nothing indicating that SoC and CoP Skull are the same character other than the name, but that wouldn't be the first time different characters in the trilogy would have the same name. Example being Duty trader Mitay in CS and stalker Mitay in CoP. Also, just a few months passed between SoC and CoP events and even if Skull was kicked out of Duty, I don't think that he would've managed to join the mercenaries and get enough experience to take part in a very important job at the center of the Zone in such a short period of time. Plus SoC and CoP Skulls have different weapons as well

Plus... mercs like their callsigns, I can see someone edgy picking Skull just for the same reasons many American cops wear Punisher badged and insignia; It sounds cool.

Since Colonel Skull is a blacklisted Dutyer, as warned by General Voronin not to listen to him and his renegade Duty in the AW, it does somewhat make sense for him to be kicked out of Duty and become a Merc. However, since Colonel Skull usually has a very short life surviving Freedom's attack, I would assume he is killed and it's someone else, if I believed what we see in the game should be final. I anticipate there may be many people we know in Stalker 2 who we thought were dead, so we just don't really know. However, the bottom line on this, is if GSC reused a name, one would assume it is the same person, much like Leshiy or Senka. Since the CoP Skull talks about the Player becoming wormfood, the very same thing his 2nd in command of the Renegade Duty, says to the Marked One in the AW, I'm leaning towards they are the same person. Consider that both of them are bad people too.

Question: I brought this up before, but does anyone know what causes the huge crowd of NPCs to practically spawn on top of you in Shadow of Chernobyl when you transition to a new area? I was thinking of running through the trilogy before S2 drops, but the last time I tried it on this machine, the aforementioned bug occurred and honestly made the game unplayable. When I had played the game on older machines, this never happened.
