Whatever you do, start making manual saves before you undertake jobs or do things. Relying on Quick Saves alone is a very bad idea since they can constantly overwrite each other and easily corrupt or produce bugs.

As you can see, all the dots are green and friendly to me, except the red dot at the Grimpen Mire. That is the two Bandits that mugged me. However, when you actually go there, they turned neutral yellow, since all the other Bandits are green to me. I didn't kill the Bandits who mugged me. I got a job from them.

It is the replayability of Clear Sky, where you can start another game and join the Faction of your choice and make/commit them to taking territory in the Faction Wars and extend that out of Garbage. A Player is free to do many things. I'm just suggesting, don't play Clear Sky only once and think you have seen all there is to see.

interestingly grenades in SoC were so ahead of its time. the fragmentation all modeled as projectiles and can bounces surfaces to cause damage. not just hitscan area damage unlike other games of its era
