Dub should be done properly, wishing for the accents to be constantly there is like if you went to watch John Wick & saw Keanu talking the broken English all the way through cuz his character's a part of a Russian clan. It's also like if the game was made by American studio & I wished the Ukrainian dub to feature an English accent across the board — it just makes zero sense, unless for some reason you want a good storytelling to be turned into a pantomime with allat mocking 😁

There's no argument. The game tells a story, not trying to fake stuff out for the sake of it. Same as movies do, but in an interactive form. If I want to hear Ukrainian dub — it should be Ukrainian language, not some American trying to speak the tongue. If I wanna hear English dub — it should be English, not Slavic theatrical take on English. It's tasteless & truly off-putting.

If anything, S2 does have an amazing voicing & I'd enjoy trying diff playthroughs in both languages, cuz the actors did their job that damn good (at least judging from what we could hear in various trailers). For me as a native Ukrainian speaker those shenanigans with English dub both in OG trilogy & Metro have always been laughable at best, I can't imagine why people are trying to convince themselves into liking their own language getting butchered — I see no point in this & I've also noticed this discussion always being held particularly around these two game universes for some reason.

So the Employees obviously took some inspiration from Stalker when making Metro
