So far, so good. I'm really excited to finally play STALKER 2 after waiting about 17-15 years for it.
I'd love to share my thoughts, so here are my suggestions for the huge, ambitious project!
Please don't get me wrong, I want to help make the project what STALKER 2 deserves.
The crosshair needs to be changed. The user interface should be as minimalist as possible. Relies on cinematic gameplays.
The compass in beginner game mode should be at the bottom rather than the top. It should be as small as possible.
The health bar should be as minimalist as possible (small) and should disappear when not displayed. It should only appear if you are hit or radiation occurs. Or some other event happens.
The tablet that owns SKIF should have a compass that shows the following directions: north/south/east/west and azimuth from 0° to 359.
The quests should not show where to go on the tablet. It would be better to have a direction or a grid.
As I understand it, you want players to explore. This is how to design an exploration game.
If you tell players the exact location, they will just run through. No one will care about the work you did to design random locations.
It should be an adventure to go out and look for a place where the quest could be.
Before you look at a tablet, you need to get to a safe place. OR...
Skif could have a smartwatch connected to the tablet to check the direction/grid by pressing the “O” button.
Giving players so many markers will make the game more arcade-like and will probably disappoint old fans.
