How so? Artifacts does not make you immune to emission. You always need to take cover in safe areas. The moment you are, your secondary objective will update and that's how you know you are in a safe spot. (Make sure you follow the marker on your map)

yeah the quest objective changed after each step to i bet it was that. "go into cover" "wait out the emission" now that i see it. so i was standing in the wrong spot in the boat

Depends on a weapons condition. If a weapon is completely broken or very broken they won't buy them

If weapon is not very damaged then they'll buy it

You need to drop everything you are doing when the emission hits. You only seek cover and wait until it's over, then resume your playthrough

Major locations will be mostly intact like rostok bar, dark valley factory, etc... (the change is speculated to be minor and suitable to the time difference between the the new game and the trilogy)

This might explain how the Great Swamps are in the east instead of the west like how they were originally in Clear Sky. And the boat can be a mistake by the Stalker, mistaking Zaton to be the Great Swamps hence the boat icon. Also explaining the flame icon, as there is the burnt village and thermal anomalies in the north from Skadovsk. This Stalker has been to the Zone a lot but hasn't accurately figured out his surroundings. It would make the Stalkers more realisticlly human

Well, the swamps may or may not be as shown in that map. The swampy areas are possibly now connected to each other, or merged if it's right to say so.
Regardless of what I said and what I think, we can not be sure. It's too early to assume stuff and all I said is basically my own theory (possibly some other folks too)
