Scar is canonically merc. He only joins Clear Sky faction in the beginning. After you leave the Swamps Scar's faction will be Mercenary again

Can't I go back to being a mercenary after joining Loners? Duty and Freedom are both tough, and Bandits have liberated the vehicle graveyard/concentration camps, so they are now fully hostile.

Loners leave the depot every time, Bandits still respawn in the depot and in the camp, and I'm getting tired...

After the leader died, I wanted the respawn frequency to be much lower based on resources.

They taught me a few times, but eventually Loners would leave the depot or disappear. Then Bandits respawn inside the depot and in the surrounding camps.

For example, a squad moves from point A to point B, but Loners always move a while after capturing a depot like that. Then, of course, the depot is in ruins, and a few minutes later (one day later in the game), a radio warning arrives that Bandits will appear.

And since Bandits are poorly equipped with no resources, there's not much profit to be made from defeating them and selling their supplies...

I'm in the middle of my SoC playthrough and I'm really interested in playing massive conversion mods like gamma and anomaly, however many fans recommend playing through all the games beforehand. I already kind of know the story of all the games, should I be playing all of them? Should I skip SoC and CS and go straight to CoP?

Cop lacks a lot, but it has the best side quests because it has only 3 active levels

Play them all and dont play gamma, it takes everything these games built and throws it out of window in favour of tarkov crap. If you want a challenging mod go with Road to the North, its much more grounded and in line with the trilogy while still offering a good challenge. Anomaly and Gamma are the bottom when it comes to stalker modding. There are many great modding project that are much better than those two, if you want to play some just check my BIO, theres bunch of mods listed. All the names are shortened so in case you dont recognize them just message me
