Thats definitely the case here. Coop can never be an official thing tbh. It's up to modders to make the changes necessary to make that possible.
The whole thing does not really harm the loneliness vibe of the game, but it does not fit a single player logic if I'm making any sense. A coop experience is not a bad idea if only we had no protagonist you know, but we do and that's what makes it uncanon ppl often can't see that clearly I suppose

Games do not need to mirror actual real life locations all the time. It's always about the vibe you can feel in a certain in-game location that gets your brain to find its reference in real life. Other that that, game levels usually undergo necessary changes for the sake of the game itself.

It's modding work! You need someone to do that for you if you can't do it yourself.
You can try yourself tho, it's not that hard.
First you gotta need to download CoP database unpacker (you should be able to find that in moddb), then do the unpacking. The moment you are done, open the fsgame.ltx and change the gamedata line from gamedata: true false to true true.
You can then crate a new folder into your game directory and name it gamedata, open the unpacked data, copy the sounds folder into the folder you created, and find the needed files by searching for ambient folder, opening it and manually looking for the voice file you require. The moment you find what you need you gotta look for the sounds you need changing and do what I mentioned in my last text.

I already answered that question days ago if I remember correctly. In case you missed it, it should be around 3 months from launch. Xbox should have 2 months of exclusivity and if the PS version was already done by launch, it should just come after the exclusivity time, If not, it might take a year (which is probably not the case)

Either way, gsc will be releasing the official dates after launch or prior to it.

ZRP, or Zone Reclamation Project is a mod for ShoC which fixes a lot of bugs and makes the game overall more stable.

AFAIK, the mod can actually come with extra add-ons that I do not recommend for first time players, so just use the normal one.

Just make some as you go along, I'd love to see what you make. On pc you can enter console commands with <~>, and with <demo_record 1> you can freecam for nice perspectives. Something you can keep in mind if you enjoy shooting nice images
